I stopped in at Cabela's a couple days ago and was looking at the tent cots. My first thought was that this would work as a RTT. Then I was wondering who had done this before and how they mounted it. Glad to see my question has been answered. Now I just need to finally get rid of my FJ Cruiser and find my Tacoma.

Dude, thank you for the idea of taking off the legs. I'm about to head to bed, but I have the oversized kamprite; I was thinking of how to mount it to my voodoo cross bars, but now I know how. Will be hitting up home depot for some u-bolts tomorrow. Do you drive with the thing on your bars?

I use it on my hitch in the back and eventually I will get a hitch in the front so I can use it from either location.

I take it off when I am not using it. You still will need to fabricate some mini legs for the center posts. You can easily make them from wood that is if you are useing a hard tonneau cover like mine otherwise you will have to use some plywood for the whole bottom of the tent.

I added a couple of aluminum L brackets to the Thule feet. I just riveted the to the steel feet. When I get a second I will take a picture for you.

Here is a picture that you can sort of see the aluminum riveted to the steel foot. I had painted it black so it is dark in the picture.
