does the pro come with JBL?

    Is it even an option?

Thank you. There's no way to get a straight answer from most dealers.

Even though the pro is high up in the model line up it doesn’t come stock with the JBL audio you’ll have to get the upgraded tech package but honestly not worth it. you’ll be better of by getting a taco tunes amp and 4 Rockford Fosgate power series speakers. That’s what I run and it sounds amazing.

The pro is mono spec. You cannot get a package with it. Do not pass go and do not collect $200

Oh that may be my bad. I’ve seen some with the JBL radio some without so thought it was something factory added to some

Pretty sure you cannot get it at all on the Pro Models.

Typical of toyota. The corollas had BSM before the land cruisers.

It is a bit redonkulous for the price they get. But I knew it going in...
Still a phenomenal truck! No regrets

So.... I bought a 2015 OffRoad and my local dealer at the time swore that the JBL wasn't an option, that it only came in the limited. Problem was, I had already seen a 2015 Off Road at another dealership with the JBL in it. I went back to that dealer and bought that one. It absolutely was an option. Now, I have asked about the JBL in a 2018 Pro and so far, the answer is no... but that was without them really looking hard. All that said, I agree with the other posters. The JBL upgrade on the 2015 was about $1500, and while it sounded decent, it doesn't compare to what a Taco Tunes system can do for you for a fraction of the price. Rob and the team there know what they are doing. I just ordered my 2018 Pro and I plan on a Taco Tunes system myself.

It doesn't take much to determine if you can get it on a Pro (you can't). Just go to the Toyota site and try to build one. You don't get the option. You do with the models that support it...

Edit - Added image of audio choices. Limited has JBL std.

How does the taco tunes system compare to the OEM Audio + system? I'm planning on upgrading my Pro's sound system and trying to figure out which route to go.

I’ve hear great things about OEM+ as well but It’s also like $1500 I believe and for 700-800 using taco tunes and upgraded speakers you could probably get a little better sound

    TACO TUNES AMP: $225
    Fosgate 6x9 power series: $175
    Fosgate 6.5 power series: $150
    Adapters,wires: $100-150
    Total: $700

And it sounds great. Great highs great mids and enough bass to where ive been asked if I have a sub

I have to respectfully disagree. The "build" feature didn't have it as an option on my 2015 either, but it definitely was an option. Now I am not saying that it IS an option for 2018, just saying that not every option is covered on the Toyota website.

Well yes, that is true, though I believe those are dealer installed options as opposed to factory installed.

And youre correct on that as well, but the JBL was a factory option, not port or dealer. I suspect that you're correct and its not an option, but its worth the time to ask a few different dealers and see what kind of answer you get. They don't all seem to be on the same page. :)
