I haven't taken any pictures yet, but I plan to install tonight. A couple of my tabs were cracked, so I put JB Weld on them in the hopes that it will save them. The lettering is separate - And I'm terrible at describing things so this would make a lot more sense with pictures, but the grille is shipped as it appears in the pictures with _OYOT_ serving as the black backing for the stick on letters. The letters are all silvery gray and you stick on the 'O,' 'Y,' 'O,' and 'T' onto their corresponding black backing letters. However, since the first 'T' and the 'A' in do not have any black backing letters built into the grille, the 'backing' and the letter are all one piece and are all the same color. So I taped off the T and the A so that I could paint the 'backing' black. This way, when it's assembled the letters will all appear silvery gray while having black backing.

I have one I ordered from ebay as well but mines came with all silver letters and all of them had double side tape. All the letters were packaged inside a small bag sperately. I just peeled the double side tape and stuck them on the grille in their place. I paid $120 for mines and I think it took about 2 or 3 weeks to get here.

Ordered one from eBay a month ago just to see how great they were. After waiting that long it finally came to my door in a mangled box half open with Chinese letters all over it. I opened it up and it looked SICK!

However, 4 of the pins on the back were snapped off and broken, obviously from shipping. The quality of the grill looks awesome and I will definitely be getting another one once I receive a confirmation for a refund.

I finished the install last night. Everything went very well. I tried to take pictures that showed what I was talking about when I painted the 1st 'T' and the 'A.' My truck is a 2018, so I did purchase an OEM Grille Garnish for the radar sensor. It fit perfectly in the Chinese Grille. The one thing that was different from what I've read on this forum were the quantity and location of the pop rivets. In the guide that I followed, the author's vehicle is a 2018 TRD OR - he only had a total of 4 pop rivets that held his grille surround in place. My truck is a 2018 SR5 and I had a total of 8 pop rivets that held my grille surround in place. I also had to drill the hole for the bottom tab on the 2nd 'T' to be a little wider, otherwise my 'T' would have been crooked. Other than that everything went as expected. On the way to work today, I used my cruise control (in the rain) and the radar cruise control worked perfectly with zero issues.

Just a quick follow up, After placing my order on Feb 1st with areyourshop-a on eBay i received an email from ebay saying the seller is flagged and not to pay the seller but this was already too late. I just got a call from my wife and it looks like the package tried to get delivered today but no one was there to sign for it. So not sure what was going on with ebay and areyourshop-a but it does seem like he shipped the item. can't speak on quality yet but i will as soon as i can pick it up from the post office. Also, from time of order to time of delivery was 6 days, thats pretty damn good coming from China.

Must've shipped before he was flagged. It requires a signature - so if anyone had been home, you would've gotten it today.

So I'm a little confused, if I buy the OEM PT228-35180 Grille for the 2018 model and install it on my 2017 OR do I need to purchase the garnish or will it come with the honeycomb style block to fill in the hole for the sensor?

Another update.....I just got home from work and the mailman retried my house later today and dropped it off to my wife.

Excellent packaging, opened it up and it looks flawless, no tabs are cracked at all and no blemishes or anything, can’t wait to install it!

You won’t need anything else, the grill will have the honeycomb already there. The garnish is only for 2018.

eBay...however, wth everyone on here recently ordering, some of these Chinese sellers have been increasing their price $10-$20...but then in comes new Chinese sellers looking to undercut the ones with the most sales...just search eBay, it’s flooded. Average price ranges from $139-$149. Only one seller on Amazon (areyourshop) and it’s $149 on there when I checked a few weeks back. The funny part is he’s also selling on the Walmart website as a 3rd party in the Walmart market place. But if you have to return it, Walmart wouldn’t be handling that for you, it would be the seller. With eBay you get the money back guarantee.

Seller “bruceshark” is a good source on eBay. Even though it says China, I thinks that to avoid legality issues because it comes in about a week and I think they secretly have a US warehouse or family member that had agreeed to stock locally and drop ship when the Chinese seller gets the order to be able to beat other sellers by being able to ship quicker. I can’t imagine a Chinese seller paying expedited shipping so you can get your grill on a week, it would cost more than the grill itself!

It was originally $140, however it came in with 2 cracked tabs, I contacted (Areyourshop), they requested pictures, and they offered $30.00 for the trouble!

    “Thank you for your photos.
We truly shipped the item in good condition, which may be bumped during long time shipping.
Any chance that could you keep the item, fix the problem and try install the grille by go to local professional vehicle shop, could we offer you $30.0 as compensation for the inconvenience.
    Looking forward to your reply.”

Why are people still buying Chinese grills when you can get a OEM Pro grill for $170?

For an 18 it’s $170-180 plus $50 for the clear garnish. Looks silly on a 16-18 truck if it’s not functional. The grille for the 16-17 trucks is still $350. I am saying this because I believe the 18 grille ships with a void for the tss sensor with no insert.

I actually bought mine on eBay for $102 from China and it arrived in about a week. It’s since been removed and I can’t find another one that’s that low in price at all. Mine is awesome though!! I love it and you can’t tell the difference at all between this and the $350 factory one.
