Going back to an alpine. I had one prior to the Pioneer and I missed it from the first day I had the pioneer installed. The Pioneer was slow, thought it sounded worse, and the connection b/w the phone and Head unit was pretty poor. It had a great microphone for calls, but I am not a fan of Bluetooth for making calls. My work truck has Sync and I despise it

I'm using a Kenwood DDX9903S that I recently installed after Thanksgiving and I love it. Android Auto has gotten VERY good. It actually made me retire the Nexus 9 tablet dash install I'd been running for the last two years.

I’m an iPhone guy and enjoy CarPlay. I’ll take a look at the kenwood and see fin it has the features I’m looking for. Thanks.

You're welcome. Any of the good units (like the Kenwood) have both Android Auto and Carplay.

My experience with sync is absolute crap. I hated that system more than Entune and I'm not a fan of entune.

The only thing I like with the F-150 and sync is the ability to run Waze through the stereo. Everything else I don’t care for, including the truck. Can’t complain too much, free gas, ha ha.

@SuperBad - let me know when you're ready to do that bumper, I certainly hope we can knock it out in less time that that quote! (and we'll try to wrangle a few of these other guys too - I am out of town weekend after next and the following though...

re: exhaust re-route, that's been on my 'low priority to-do list' for a while now. One of those things that I probably should do before I really need it, but I've got $$$ going into other things atm.

Managed to snag a nice set of jumper cables off my dad this evening - in exchange to hearing him say the same thing about the same things over again and again while helping him put together his new kitchen table (the 5th attempt at buying this table, the 3rd one that was delivered, the first that had 'acceptable minor damage', cables joined the Viair 300P behind the rear seats. Think I still have enough room on the driver's side for a small tool roll with essential tools (10mm, 12mm, 17mm, knuckle-buster and a couple screw drivers, etc.)

With me doing it, it will probably become a multiday project.
Day 1: Cut Test fit and remove to paint cut area.
Day 2: Mount for hopefully the last time and attach swing out with accessories.

Does anyone want a 17" tundra wheel?

I have no need for it anymore and can see if @Zac of all trades can bring it back to DFW this weekend?
