I like the snorkel option. It's a step in the right direction.
Aesthetically, it might look better if the intake head was closer to the roofline.

LC70 is a niche market vehicle that many admire, but few would actually own. Looks great on YouTube, but drives like crap. If you had to drive one on North American freeways you’d put a gun in your mouth within the first week. Max reasonable speed barely reaches the speed limit in most towns, and the cab noise requires ear plugs. Not to mention, only one cup holder.

The new Tacoma ain’t perfect, but it’s the best offering from Toyota so far. Exceptions exist, but very few jump back from 3rd Gen to second gen or another make when compared to the hundreds of thousands they are selling.

Some day you will step up to one, but you need to look inward first.

Next thing you know the Tacoma will get a turbo and people will complain saying if they wanted a turbo they would have bought an F150

It's BETTER than the ARB but still not perfect. Great more options are coming to market. I don't want to know what MSRP is on that thing though.

So who is gonna be the first one to put the TRD snorkel on with a sport hood and start the even more elusive "Skewps on Skewps Club"?

The Ranger was essentially unchanged 95-11 for a reason. Dinosaur is good when it's used as it's intended.

The hilarious amount of eye rolling as people watch a "mall crawler" go into a carwash with a snorkel though...

I try to stay off the freeways, we live a small country town no real need to go fast. Wanting a comfortable freeway cruiser is what is killing trucks, imo. Since 3/4-1 Ton flatbed diesel trucks are king in our area, the LC70 would fit in very well here. Actually there is a guy with a 40 series Ute running around, man, would love to have that. The payload for a Tray Camper would be awesome for exploring the back country, main reason I would like the LC70, the Tacoma is lack luster in that department, all of those Taco's with Four Wheel Campers on them are grossly overloaded. What is the payload on yours, what 1100 lbs? That is dismal.

The 3rd gen is still Toyota underneath, I have driven them...they still feel like a Toyota, and I do like the interior, vast improvement over the 2nd gen, it is reminiscent of the 80's HiLux, with straight across dash.

What I don't like is the new sheet metal...some guys like girls with breast implants, lip injections, and botox...that is what the 3rd Gen reminds me of...but not me, I like those simple blue jeans and t-shirt natural girls. Kinda like VW's styling, simple with nothing to prove. Now only if you could put a VW GTI body on a Honda Civic chassis...

I am getting old, and don't quite understand this new generation of "look-at-me-selfie-taking-narcissistic" society we live in...the 3rd Gen reminds me of that. Are the owners mostly overly sensitive millennials? Because they seem to get easily offended if you don't like their truck.
