For the Canadians , "Red Army" is on Knowledge Network right now , watched it last night , pretty interesting documentary about Slava Fetisov and when the first Russian players came over to the NHL

 

He hasn’t made a token appearance for awhile.

 

Without McKinnon, it’s hard to imagine the Av’s have much of a chance.

 

Burrows being Burrows I see.

 

He lost his freaking mind

Now he gets to lose 10 games.

 

Yep he lost his cool and its going to cost him 10 games.

He deserves that 100%. Maybe even a bit more.

But then why does Marchand only get a few games for his antics? Makes no sense.

I think if Burrows had of just wrestled Hall to the ground he would of been fined. When he kneed him in the head repeatedly from behind, from what was said in the media today, some hockey people felt it was similar to the Bertuzzi incident. That sort of thing just isn't acceptable to the game and shows intent to injure.

With Marchand he's only being a dick head and a disgrace to the game... but he isn't usually trying to hurt anyone permanently out there.

Marchand is a repeat offender and a dickhole who tries to injure players constantly with his low bridges and head shot elbows , total trash

There is a big difference between a dirty hit and repeatedly beating someone in the back of the head, even using your knee once your arms are restrained by the linesmen. I don't necessarily agree with it morally, but the NHL has set the precedent.

A few GM's were interviewed and repeated that the Burrows kneeing reminded them of incidents in the past where players were suspended for months. I'm not surprised he got 10 games. Honestly if Hall was hurt Burrows would likely be done playing hockey. He just got lucky that in his position he was unable to injure Hall even though he wanted to.

Agreed. He got all pissy over a legitimate clean hit.

Terrible. Should be suspended for the rest of the season.

Both players are a complete disgrace.

 

Yeah. I would suggest it’s time to look at dumping the instigator rule and let the game clean itself up. We all know that won’t happen though.
