95 tacoma is it obdII????

    just as it says.... my 96 wont start and im looking to see if i can put my dads 95 ecu in my truck. thanks

    my truck does not have any spark!!!

    there is not much difference from the 95 to the 96 so i dont know why you cant.

    IMHO, I wouldn't do that. Your harness will have a wire for the P/N switch that may have a different connection on his ECU and could damage it or throw a code.

    Why won't yours start?

    Did this just happen?

    Distributor or coil packs?

    Is the CEL on?

    Last time you replaced the plugs, wires, etc?

    sorry i thought i had put this in here.... SORRY!!!

    ok i bought this truck not running. the guy said it was cutting out and losing power then just died. we have checked the igniter,distributor,coil,crank position sensor was bad and replaced it. Now when you first crank it, it will fire one time and thats it! what gives?? Can anyone help me????

    its a 96 4x4 auto with a 2.7l no cel no codes, new wires and plugs. its not firing at the coil but one time! and yes just happend ,thanks for all the help!!!

    really the mass air wont let it spark????? didnt show anything to do with it in the toyota manual. i have cleaned the mass air meter tho

    Your mass air flow sensor runs your air/ fuel mixture. Its all part of the fuel managment system. So is your ignitor for the coil. That can go bad too.

    my igniter runs on my dads truck so i would think it was ok.... but if you say so ill swap the mass air meter... ill try about anything now

    Id try The mass air flow sensor and see what happens. Its worth a try
