Only 31,500 on my '13...

 

But I drive a Ford... Since I'm already over 100k miles, my days are numbered. I keep expecting to walk outside and find that it spontaneously combusted and reduced itself to a pile of oily ash. The fear is real.

 

I'm less than 400 miles from 100k. I need two cv axles, and after the howling and gear oil smell last night on the highway, possible a differential soon.

 

I think mine has 25k miles

 

That's what happened to my FIL's Chevy. Drove it home, ate dinner, 15mins later people were pounding on the door to tell him his truck was up in flames in the driveway. True story

 

That's on the 4th gen (03-09). And I don't have my stock stuff anymore, sold it to a 4th gen 4runner guy

 

How'd that happen? Could the howling be wheel bearings?

 

Sounds different than when my wheel bearing was going. Only seemed to be really noticeable above 60.

 

Anyone into watches?

 

Haven't really worn a watch since I've had a cell phone in my pocket.

 

I like smart watches. I'm on my second one and I love the convenience of it. Only downside is having to charge it every night or so.

 

i have to get a new phone my charging port is a bitch right now. I have to keep an elastic band on it to keep tension on the cable. (no it isn't the cable i have tested many) I will miss my HTC one M8 harmon kardon edition (especially since when we signed up for sprint it was free) and now nobody really does deals on phones. Current options are 145 for an HTC bolt or 696 for an HTC U11. I pretty much crossed off Samsung as I never had good luck with them. Anybody got any good recommendations? Phone lasted 5years or so and I still love the thing but it would cost just as much to repair as it would getting the Bolt

 

You could also try straightening the small pin inside the charging port with a needle. I've successfully fixed a phone with the same issue that way before.

 

My company car is a Subaru its comfy and honestly all tacoma seats suck (they always have!) i test drove a sport, a pro, and an sr5 last month and each one had atleast 1 or 2 things that made the seat kinda blow the SR5 seats in the 4Runner blow them all away the pro is kinda the same just leather. If I had to daily any taco alot I’d either swap new runner seats in it or splurge on some fancy seat upgrade.
I did just for fun price out an sr5 4wd then added on
King front+rear shocks +
arb rear locker and compressor scs rims
And 33s and it came out lower than the pro msrp still... i get why this isn’t the greatest plan for resale ect ect but for the most part you always get shafted on your upgrades in terms of resale so it wouldn’t affect me cause I don’t sell toys usually

 

Ouch. Fortunately, mine is still running strong. I need to the 100k maintence soon which will be a few bucks but no signs of failure yet.
