Okay go easy, this is my first truck and first suspension kit I changed. I understand factory rake and the purpose of it. Question is, if I put a level on the truck bed it shows almost level, maybe a slight rake. Garage floor shows level. Floor to fender flare is slightly higher in the front. To my eye, matches the level. So what do I have, level, factory rake or a Bro Taco? Confused  Left side of level is the front.

The kit was designed to "level" the front of a second gen tacoma, by taking out the rake and from what it seems a lot of the Pros are higher in the front. 3rd gens seem to get the same amount of lift as well, so to get that factory rake back AALs or new leaf packs are more than likely needed. Settling will occur as well over the next few thousand miles as well.

If you measure from the center of your hub on your front wheel to your fender, then measure from the center on your rear hub to your fender you will see whether your high in the front or have a slight rake.
If the left side on your level is the front of your truck then you got a bit of bro lean happening.

Are the rear shocks longer than stock to accommodate 2 inches of lift. Thinking about using the light Dakar pack.
Any dealers near western Colorado or Salt Lake with a good deal on the kit?

I have read on many places that 1.5" shouldn't be a problem, and on another forum someone had a link to a thread that stated 2" is doable as well. I wish I had those links now

Thank you for the explanation. I am fine with level, not towing currently and only a few loads of wood a year. Rechecked garage floor, matches level. So I must be close to level. I will wait a few thousand miles and see if I want to lift the back. I didn’t know the Pro’s were nose high, guess my truck is pretty much a Pro poser anyway with most Pro parts. Wish they had made them in 2016.

I am running a 17 DCSB SR....Wondering if this the best deal and ride to get to level? Some are getting 1.5 to 2 inch in front...and need to lift front about an inch to be level.

What would I be looking at for cost to use this kit to get to level?

Kit + leaf (in back) + Bro Lean spacer + Alignment ? Just wondering cost Versus adjustable Bil 5100 on all 4 corners (adjustable front)...Anybody got any cost number for this....

Sorry more I read more I am confused and still tempted...

    Here is my total cost:

Suspension kit: $582 (no need for any spacers)
    3 Leaf add-a-leaf $189
    Firestone Lifetime alignment: $179
    Total:$950

    5100 from Headstrong:

5100 Kit with coils and 3 leaf AAL: $737 (add $100 if you want them assembled)
    Firestone Lifetime alignment: $179

    Total: $916

If you want to assemble your own struts, 5100 would be slightly cheaper, if you need to pay someone for strut assembly, TRD setup would be slightly cheaper. If you want adjustability, 5100 would be the better choice. Both of these numbers can be reduced if you go with a block or single add-a-leaf but the above statement still remains true.

    Edit:

Your other option with the 5100 is to just set the front at 1 inch and do not modify the rear lift. This setup costs:

    5100 with coils: $560
    Firestone Lifetime alignment: $179
    Total: $739 (or $839 assembled)

Nice! That came down a lot over night. Are you going to add an AAL to bring back the rake?

So looks like it came down at least half an inch fairly quickly.

    Still looks great

Any time you change your front suspension you need to do an alignment.
