oohhh you found another TW member with 80 messages that also used the wrong word.

Lets see, I have my Master Tech Rick who's been with toyota for 25 years explaining to me the nuance of flushes vs drain and fill and how its possible to do BOTH on the 1st gen but depending on symptoms and maintenance history it is most often recommended to actually avoid the flush.

Then I have some idiot online with his "pump sprayer thingy"

No offense but I think I'll take Rick's word for it :)

Exactly.. you can't explain what the difference is between an actual flush that uses a pressurized $10,000 piece of equipment and the backyard half ass shit you do, so you call me a bad name and double down on your ignorance.

I'll give you that in the end you get ESSENTIALLY the same result, and in fact on an old transmission thats never had a service its actually better to do it your way... but nonetheless there's a difference and I can tell you're the type of person that doesn't really care about nuance or knowledge so I digress...

Oh you're from Florida... that actually explains a lot :)

apparently not because that guy has over 1,000 and calls a fluid transfer pump a "pump sprayer"

The definition of flush isn't "to replace all the fluids in one go". To flush is to use liquid (same or different) to cleanse a system. You drain oil and you flush radiators and trans. Same concept as a toilet...

Technically you can flush a trans but just isn't recommended by Toyota. A lot people do a lot of things Toyota doesn't recommend but thats why TW is what it is bc we think outside the box and do things differently. Just can't go crying to Toyota for warrenty if you screw it up.
