Am I still good without fuel upgrades and 7th injector setup? Right now, I only have the SC; wasn't until i found this thread a couple days ago that i knew what the wonderful possibilities are...going to try to get to the restrictor jet this weekend.

umm, I've read it a couple times. Did you miss the part where I said I am new to the SC world? Basically, I don't know what I don't know am looking to the folks that do know what they are doing for some advice. I started at the beginning of this thread, and even though i haven't caught up to current conversations, you are all over it dealing with some real time issues and folks were there to give you the advice you needed at the time; I'm nowhere near the pickle you were in, but i'm just looking for the same.

Plus, there is a buttload of information on that first page and I am just now begining to learn what it all means; any help along the way would be appreciated. Cheers.

Okay. If your gunna mod this thing, get a fuel pump. Aem 320lph greentop is what I have. Or you could get a kit from URD with a 255lph pump. Aem 320 for heavy modding, 255 for less modding.

If u want 1 size pulley smaller, get a fuel pump. Cant go wrong with either and they are cheap

That depends a lot on all that is desired. Be a little more specific please.

Updates are in my build thread. Getting close. Later this month.

Thank you. Okay, so get a fuel pump first (I'm in the less modding category [for now]), then that opens me up to better facilitating the smaller pulley? How about I take that 2.8 off your hands in anticipation of said fuel pump upgrade?

What is the realistic cost to produce one of the manifolds that you had been making or help make?

I have already installed the quick change so my 2.85 is available but I still recommend going with the quick change setup in case you want to go smaller in the future. You will need to machine the snout first though! A few questions before you begin:
How many miles are on the truck? If you have many miles on it I would definitely get a fuel pump first prior to any other mods. I just went with the URD kit since everything is already there in the kit. It saves you from potentially having to go to the store to get a part while your truck is apart.
What is your altitude? If you live in Colorado, most likely you're at a fairly high altitude so you can get away with a slightly smaller pulley than those who are closer to sea level. ONLY if you never travel to lower altitudes. You could still go with a smaller pulley but be warned you could run dangerously lean at lower altitudes.
Do you have afr and boost gauges? Boost is great to have but afr is essential, especially if you start changing pulleys.

Have fun and welcome to the rabbit hole!

    John

Ya screw that 2.85 from urd. Once u put smaller pulley on Ull want to go smaller.

Wow, that’s a lot to take in. Thanks for the thorough response. To try and answer your questions: about 130k on the truck, living at about 6500’, with regular trips higher, and finally, and I know I’m breaking a cardinal rule here, no gauges. I will say that I plan on upgrading the fuel pump first and get a boost and afr gauge, then swap pulleys. @GT7 is going to send me his 2.8. From there I’m thinking headers but I guess I don’t need the valve body mod because manual shift? I’m not sure if that’s right. From an engine/ exhaust perspective the only thing I have is the SC and K&N CAI; I would also offer that I’m trying to find a balance between the need for HP and reliability for an overlander platform. I’m excited to learn about the world of boost, but strive for that balance.

Interesting about the altitude piece, I’ve been at lower elevations a few times and haven’t noticed any issues. I guess I need to figure out what mods are going to put me at more risk. I don’t want to be limited to the mountains only on my journeys.

Thanks again fellas for the helpful tips, looking forward to diving into the rabbit hole with ya.

So I ran a datalog this afternoon. Here are the details:

    URD Walbro 255
    76mm tb
    2.7 pulley
    UCON
    URD CAI
    URD Equal length headers
    Custom y-pipe
    Custom 3" exhaust
    Ratiotek vb upgrade

    Injectors are stock supercharger injectors...455cc
No for mod as you can't do it with the UCON. The UCON is always a closed loop system so fuel pressure needs to remain constant.

    Oat 62°F
    Maf 314 g/s
    A/f ratio 11.4
    Inj duty cycle 93.4% !!!

Well, it looks like no more full throttle for me until injector upgrade or it warms up significantly.

I’ll try some data logging this spring.
Everyone’s hating but we will see

    Urd walboro 255
    76mm throttle body
    Urd 170 degree thermostat
2.6 pulley. I have the 2.7 on hand Incase I’m too lean
    Air raid Intake
    Dtlt headers
Stock y pipe with weld in muffler
    Fpr mod
I still have to get fuel pressure gauge but I’ll have that with my afr and boost gauge
