What about a carrier bearing drop kit? Maybe my lift is causing extra down pressure causing problems somewhere?

How is your taco an SX yet a 4 banger?

 

Isn't SX just a trim package? In doing some reading it seems there is a lot of confusion to SX vs DX on the early tacos. Original decals on the truck designated it as SX. Did they normally have the 3.4?

 

Yeah i thought only SX were the v6 reg cabs. What mine is.

 

In seeing others for sale and reading on other forums it seems related to trim and interior stuff more than engines (power windows, tach, etc.)...still unclear though.

Eventually yes, with a methanol setup too...won't be til late this year or next year though.

 

Was single cab/V6 a special order?

 

was just an option from 95-97. Only came with the SX package though.

Its funny though as mine is basically a base model single cab with a V6 but still called an SX. Has bucket seats but no AC, no CC, No tilt steering. Manual door locks and windows....auto hubs though.

yeah no AC and yes i have a Tach

 

So is the climate control panel just a blank or what?

 

yeah i have the rear carpet almost certain.

just a blank where the AC button is.

of course. And "cold" so you can turn the heat off. it looks just a normal and works just as normal...just no AC button to make it actually cold.

 

So have you named the new truck yet?
