That's the plan! I just ordered the edge trim. Found what looks like the same stuff as trail toys but bit cheaper. Gonna have it all ready to go so the bumper can be dropped right in.

Lay a stright edge across the bed rails, measure down from that. Mine ended up being 17 1/2" down iirc.

Add a small file to the list to get rid of sharp burrs and smooth the edges.

Since I'm about that cap life I'm gonna have to measure from the edge of the cap on down. That's what Joe and I were discussing today. I'd rather be a hair off than deal with taking the cap off.
    That's a great idea actually!

I'm not sure where it ended up being. All i know is that its RIGHT at the bottom edge of the taillight.

Edit, in that pic the edge trim hangs lower than the body edge

What's the best way to take off the flare without breaking clips?

You'll probably need to reference this picture too. It is what to cut under the OEM bumper and under the taillght. You can see the primered areas.

I have those fender supports to put on (not sure if he was making them yet when yours was made). It requires drilling a small hole right behind the flare, so it has to come off. Otherwise that was my plan.
    Thanks!
Greenridge state forest on the 17th. I don't know if it's still happening.

Alright well keep me posted! I am always down but after the buddy heater went nutty last weekend my wife's tolerance is slim for the cold.

Also, I cannot wait to take my leased truck in tomorrow for it's 10000 mile service and look at the shop managers face ;)

Good idea, I'll just try that first. Then if needed I can order new clips and redo it.
Well update is now next weekend will be dedicated to rear bumper installs on johns and I truck! You're welcome to come hang. Not sure where yet.
