Ford wants you to be curious about everything but that one tiny, unimportant aspect.

    It's gonna be pricey.

Who GAF what Toyota does? If that's what you want, just get on the waiting list at your Ford dealer and buy it :notsure:

Pro is what.... suspension, a catback and some makeup?

I bet its cheaper to build up a base 6lug with better parts.

I'm not buying another Tacoma until they offer a package that puts out at least 400 horse from the factory or a diesel option. Toyota has some bugs to work out but not enough to make me spend 50k for a ranger...

It most deffinately will. I think the only reason they didn't yet, is because only option is diesel.

They are probably working out the Eco Turd gas options. The F150 V6 or the Mustang 4 banger.

My guess is they release gas eco boost 1 year later. Transmission will stay the same.

That mini raptor is mighty impressive. More competition means more win for us consumers :)

I was at a Ford dealer doing some checking ont the F150, and asked the sales guy about the diesel F150. He said they pushed it back in time wrt availability. All this hype on the Ranger is all vaporware as far as my viewpoint. Fun to read about tho.

Yeah, I agree. It's not so much the "will it arrive" it's "how much will they ask for it". The regular Raptor is a huge premium over a base F150. Plus dealerships mark them up cause they are high in demand.

Also, sometimes Ford does really weird things with pricing here in Canada. A Focus RS is listed at $59,000 on the Canadian site which is, in a word, retarded.

Toyotas have had more recalls over the past three years than all of Detroit combined ....

I believe GM has taken the lead in recalls. Most of my day is dealing with recall parts. Funny thing is, I rarely hear about them on the news.

You're right - I stand corrected. Still, my point remains: Toyota is not the bastion of reliability it once was.

Just my opinion, but recalls and reliability are not mutually exclusive.

I often think recalls are known to manufacturers before they announce and depending on liability they just keep their mouth shut.

Toyota only offers manuals in TRD trims now. I'm not interested in dropping 34k on a TRD full of useless gadgets so I can have a manual transmission. Not excited to get an auto, but the new Ranger is at the top of my list.
