A Leer shell isn't exactly gas friendly either with a full load under those racks, and a couple of bikes. No doubt a V8 is your best bet on the highway, but best part is, you have the legendary Toyo reliability.

Love the pics and I too am jealous that I've never done the (Burning Man :bananadead:). Congrats!

All that to go do drugs in the desert once a year? And emblems to let people know you do drugs? Pass

I have no problems with Burning Man. It adds to our economy and the event is out of town. Not my scene, but that’s ok.

Very nice. Soon I'll do the same.

I have the same Leer Shell, so my question is: How much dust you had inside the shell on truck bed?
I'm using the bed to sleep in.

    Cheers.

yup. you get it. i don't do drugs myself. the sights and sounds out there are so wild to begin with i see no need to add an additional layer of distortion before I process it fully. but, to each his own.

glad to hear it. btw, your stapler avatar is pretty funny because there is a guy in Reno who builds a lot of art cars for camps at BM...one of them is a big red swingline stapler!

well, a lot. i was using it for gear and I was going in and out of it pretty frequently...didnt' really even try to keep it clean. however, my cabin didn't get dusty at all (by comparison). so, if you exercise some hygiene and keep the thing closed when you're not using it, you should be about as dust-free as a tent will be with the same precautions.

a word of warning: look into some way to ventilate/cool your bed & shell if you're sleeping in it. that's cramped quarters and the heat will build up fast in the AM. i'd say by 9:30/10am you're going to be to hot for comfort. so maybe look into a swamp cooler or other system (you can build one out of a Home Depot bucket pretty easily). do you have mesh/vents on your shell windows? airflow will be key, but you'll want to be able to keep the dust out if they're open. dust storms come out of nowhere and can dump a thick layer inside your tent or yurt if they're open to the elements. my first year i woke up on day 2 in my cheap Coleman tent COVERED in dust from a late night storm. people with RVs will tape an AC filter over window openings to provide ventilation and cross airflow. might want to try that.

Good read OP, personally I have zero interest in BM, my truck is to get me away from most people, not closer, but still a good post.

I went two years ago and loved it.

Bathing is overrated after a few days.

And yes there are as many naked chicks as you think there are.

    Happy Burning OP

I used to live in Reno. I remember watching all the burners stop by Walmart, buy all the cases of water and try to return bicycles they bought after they used it for burning man lol
