That’s the good stuff. I’d feel comfortable paying 220 for all 5 windows and the sunroof

Yeah, I am pretty sure it is, and if they do a good job I won't feel too bad.

I’m sure they’ll do a pretty good job. I haven’t seen a whole lot of bad work come out of actual tint shops. Just before you judge it, give it a couple weeks for all the bubbles to dry out. Not sure how much experience you have with tint so forgive me if I’m spewing info you already know

I know it takes a while for it to fully cure, especially with this cold it will be longer than usual. This will be the 3rd car I get tinted, but its all been done down south before this.

Ya I’m pissed because I had to rip mine off a couple weeks to get it inspected. Only had 5% lower than the legal limit of 35 too

I saw that yesterday. I've got a growing list I want to hit them with at the 20k (hood latch, HVAC knobs, crosswind howl and that). I'm really curious to see about the springs. I know in years past any TSB spring was good for a slight lift. In late MY2016 Toyota switched to a soft ride / firm ride leaf option, so I'll need to cross-reference part numbers.

Where I am going with this is if if gives a lift, maybe I can get away without needing anything in the back with the Pro suspension. When I did the AAL to my 2G I used TSB springs and went up 2.5" nearly without using the overload on a 1.5" rated AAL.

Thanks for linking me, it is definitely on the list.

Let us know how the wiper move goes on the 3rd gen.
Drove 8 and 1/2 hours in the storm yesterday, left south of Portland @ 12:30, headed north of Bangor and returned home at 8:45. Truck drove well, I avoided a fish tailing rav 4 with in the first half hour, saw one pick up trying to jump the guardrail in the south bound side, then two other vehicles on the side facing the wrong way. This was all with in the first hour, then I got far enough north that folks knew what to hell they were doing.

Truck was awesome, if it had better sneakers, not sure anything would stop it. But anyways, the freaking frozen wipers where are big issue, and the defrost was working as I was dripping sweat it was so fucking hot.

Did they make you rip it off, or did you do it before? I had my front windshield of my f-150 tinted and the place didn't even know and passed it this summer.

I have been listening for this rear end whine since I got the truck, only once did I think I heard something, but not able to repeat. I think the manual trans has helped me avoid this.

Yeah! When I looked today there is a line of ice on the windshield where the wipers rest, and above it was all water melted. It was literally 1/2 inch away from the melt zone. I think it should make a big difference if I can move it up a click or two.

Anyone near Bedford MA running coilovers with remote reservoirs who can test drive my truck? Ive had my Dobinsons MRR setup for about 4 months now and im not pleased. Its super stiff, and everything clunks (yes the torque was checked on everything). This is my first truck so I have no idea if this is normal. HELP!

This was my first real winter storm drive, and I think the best mod to make it a better ride is replacing the wipers (already miss spots and leave streaks right in my vision) and stop them from freezing up so bad.

Saw a sweet T100 while at work the other day, looked like a 4" lift, dark metallic blue, tinted windows, black wheels, looked like 35's...been trying to find one for a while now...

Best part was is towards the end of shift I saw it again but it was on a flatbed tow truck, looked WAY too nice to be a winter driver.

Try cracking the window slightly next time; not sure what it does to the airflow in the cab but it makes a big difference for me for keeping the windshield clear during a pounding snow

Has the drivers and rear slider slightly open. Every gets mad at me cause I like the windows open. I believe you actually get better production from the defrost/heater with the window cracked open a bit.

A quick search shows they were designed for a 4Runner or Lexus GX series SUV :notsure:

Yeah last year they added hilux (tacoma) to the lineup. Im one of the first to have it in the states. I think it might be valving, due to the clunks being more noticeable when its below 30 degrees F... But not sure.
