Supposed to rain all damn weekend again starting tomorrow afternoon. :rain:

I’ve got every intention to head to the pier tomorrow morning and get some fishing in before the rain starts.

I’ll just bring my work with me... :drevil:

Where are you headed to? Didn't want to read back over the last 15 pages to find out…

I am in Outer Banks 2-3 times a year. My family has had a house down there since long before I was born.

Oh, and of course I have done tons of fishing down there. Let me see if I can dig up some pictures.

I live down in the Beaufort/HHI area of SC. There’s a “new” pier here that is quite a ways up the Broad River that I’ve never fished. I’d say due to location, it’s only visited by the few locals in its vicinity. I’m still waiting on the a new kayak I ordered and I’ve been itching to fish so I figured I’d hit the pier early tomorrow morning on the falling tide.

    In for pics! :headbang:

Definitely salt. The Broad River is part of the Port Royal Sound that extends about 20 miles inland. PRS has no significant freshwater rivers feeding into it.

Here’s a video they did on it...if you watch the whole thing, you’ll see why I’m really looking forward to getting the kayak out there.

There’s some good fishing on the Beaufort County side too but you’ll see in the video why I want to fish off that pier.

So I brought my work with me that was supposed to just be a quick conference call at 0730. SHTF during the call so I had to pack all my shit back up to head in right after finally getting some bait in the water. :frusty:

Bright side is I got a close look at the pier, structure, "beach", numerous tidal creeks, etc. and it's definitely someplace I want to fish when I get the new yak. Current is strong so will have to plan accordingly and fish with it.
