    Any 3rd gens in the Suffolk county long island area (Selden) that want to be a tester? I need to take some tracings and measurements. Might need to be more than once for some fine tuning... but you can get a free decal out of it. And help others looking for this style decal.

    @amirak I just worked with him to do a custom hood decal with topographic lines that will show the paint through them. From design to ship took a few hours. Awesome to work with. PM him the photo and you could have it in just a few days.

    Surfrat, as long as your paint is in in good condition, this will not pull any paint off. I will make a paper template first and to see how the decal fits and can make adjustments that way. Nothing will be mounted till the design is set and of course if you want it on.

    I haven't...trying to decide on a color before I do. Black on MGM just doesn't appeal to me.

    Referring to the paint underneath the wrap. If the wrap was left on for a few years and then taken off, would the "protected paint" look different? Thanks

    I could be wrong but if it did it would only be from years of abuse to the exposed areas. Once you cover it, no dirt, rocks, grime, or anything can get to it.. as you said it’s “protected”. So it should look newer than the rest of the truck. Something you can fix by polishing the truck and getting it to look as new as when you first bought it. So In theory you should be fine..

    So I just talked to Garrett from Top coverage, who did the quicksand tacoma Above.. he was real cool on the phone, said he can def make them and ship them out in any color.. with or without the trd off-road cutout. He’s never done it before so he doesn’t know shipping costs and everything else, but he estimates the price at:
    $300 with cutout
    $275 without
    Seems a bit high, but I’ll def be getting one as it’s the best shaped one I’ve seen

    Hey guys, sorry for not updating this thread - I’ve been traveling for work. So what I’ve found is that most shops are able to do it as a one off, but I’m more interested in finding a vendor to make a bunch of them for all of us here.

    Your exposed paint can fade from the sun and the area under the wrap will not fade. So yes there can be a difference. Like taconator said, a buff usually solves it .

    I'd be interested in knowing what material they are using at that cost. It is definitely high.
