Gonna have to get the rest of the exhaust to go with it. It's welded on and not sold separately. Not that specific one anyway

Try looking up Part# 00012-A1534-01, I don't think it is weld on.

Coming from the guy that bought an off-road to strip the suspension out of it and add the pro grille.. atleast when you strip the pro someone will buy the suspension, no one will buy stock OR suspension. And when you add $10k worth of accessories including interior when you go to sell, the pro will still be worth the $10k more.

If you can afford the pro it’s worth it is what I mean because of resale. A pimped out OR is still only worth what a stock OR is with similar mileage unless you get someone who appreciates the upgrades.

Ok, no one has mentioned something really dumb about the new Pro with the snorkel:

We all make fun of our fake skewps (well, I do.), right? Still, I sort of think the skewp is pretty cool looking and most people (except most of you good people) don't realize it's completely fake and does NOT deliver a mL of air to the engine.

But NOW, put that snorkel on there and it becomes visually obvious that the skewp is complete bullshit (either that or a serious design flaw!)

If I frequently travelled to an area locally where dust was an issue, I'd think about a snorkel. I think it's a worthy upgrade if you frequent those environments. Otherwise carrying an extra filter and/or being able to blow out the one you have will usually suffice. Believe me, Sand Wash, Needles, Moab, etc. I know dust. The thing is, even in those areas, you only really need it if you're in a line-up of vehicles. Typically if you are in the lead or alone you're good. I don't think it helps in dust storms or a dust devil. Or if ash is falling from a fire or volcano. That dust/ash is just as high as the snorkel so your intake is going to suck it in. Large crowds like BM and driving around? Yes, it would probably help as that is ground level dust (when the wind isn't blowing, lol). Otherwise I'm glad I didn't wait...

Haha, seriously. But I do think the snorkel would look great on a completely decked out overland rig.

No thanks. Ill save those many thousands of dollars and get a real suspension kit for many monies less and without all the silly frills they throw in for many monies extra.

My buddy bought a pro tundra, put a full camburg long travel kit on it, and a dealer bought it from him for $60k with 10k miles on it. The name “Pro” is worth it’s weight in gold to some.

    Not the same tip.

The pro has a full trd cat back exhaust with a welded on tip

Edit.. I know because I have it. Toyota DOES offer a clamp on tip but it is not the same as the one on the trd cat back exhaust.

Sold everything that came off my truck, no problem. And OR’s hold their value just fine.

And my point is that you can add leather and a grille to another Tacoma and have the same truck, if your plan is to just remove the suspension. Why pay more for something you don’t plan on keeping?

If you’re going to build a long travel, why start with the PRO?

    Thanks for your comment!

Not that I would get or need a snorkel, but even though this particular design may look ridiculous, it appears to be well engineered to:
    • Avoid obscuring visibility
    • Take advantage of the sweeping length's improved intake laminar flow
    • Avoid MPG loss

I'm surprised no one has asked the obligatory "How much HP the snorkel add?"
