Let's See Your Cats!!!

I have come close a couple of times. I have lost a lot of pets in my 58 years but that one hurt the worst. Maybe one day I will pickup a pair of litter mates. They would have to be indoor Cats. We have to many Coyotes here.

 

Ollie is THE lap cat.

 

After 2weeks working out of town without seeing the poor guy. Room mates always do a good job making him feel special but he seems to know when Im gone for an extended stay. They told me he stopped going to them for pets and would basically stay in my bed.
The poor guy. Been a few years since Ive been away for more than a week and boy did he have some words for me when I got home. Basically told me to gtf downstairs and on the couch for a cuddle lol.

 

You folks every have one BEST cat you judge all other cats by? We had one pound cat that was the funniest cat, she was super docile, got along with the dog, never got on counters, or even had an accident/always used the litter box. We've had a couple others but none like this Best one.

 

Olivia, originally my cat, adopted my husband as her human. Today she found it good and warm to snuggle up next to me for a nap.

 

This was out bestest cat ever...RIP.

Whenever we're in the market for new cats we go into the cat room at the shelter, close the door, and open the cages of the ones that look like possibilities. Then we sit on the floor and see what happens. They pick us. Snowball came right out, curled up in my lap and went to sleep. If she was that comfortable with me right off the bat, I knew we'd get along just fine.

After I had her for around a month, she started greeting me at the door when I came home. A little after that, she began waiting for me on the back of the chair next to the door and jumping on my shoulders as soon as I came in. She would drape herself around my neck like a scarf and stay there while I did chores, cooked dinner, etc. Then she would eat with me. She loved vegetables, especially broccoli, peas, and corn.



She got liver cancer around 7 years ago and we had to let her go. We've had other great cats, but nothing like her.

 

The first cat I got once married chose us as well, and he has a very special place in my heart. We went to the shelter and was walking by the cages, he reached out and grabbed me, the woman was like sorry sorry, I said open the door. He climb out and up on my shoulders and just held on. They could not get him off me, so we took him home.

 

Found a free range cat farm today.

 

The two are not tiny cats, and Bitsy-B&W- is about over the edge, but for comparison, Elliot is long and tall and about 16 pounds.

 

look pretty tame, otherwise they would have bolted.

 

If left alone they will just make more.

 

There were three somewhat friendly ones. 9+ others standing by waiting for food very clearly someone is feeding them. A bunch of them also had one docked ear as to indicate neutered males? The ones that were friendly with one docked ear were neutered males at least.

 

I hate to see cats outside.

 

Hate to see any homeless animals but there’s something particularly sad about a solo stray cat.

 

That’s beyond adorable, they are so damn cute together.
