2016 OVTune Tacoma 3.5L Manual Transmission / Engine ECU Reflash

Hopefully there is a M/T rig going on the dyno on the 14th as well, but it wasn't mentioned specifically. All we know for sure is Mat's PRO will be strapped in for 1.03 A/T.

 

He said new tune mid feb. I took that to mean at and mt. Cause the at does me no good.

I was in fourth today merging on hwy. 3500rpm to 75mph. I think I shifted from 3rd to 4th at 3500 rpm at 55 or 45. Can’t remember. It pulled hard to 3500.

 

I hope you're right, but that's not how it usually goes. A/T release, then M/T later. I actually asked the specific question in the dev thread, but didn't get a specific answer WRT a M/T on the dyno on the 14th. I didn't push the issue past that...

 

I’m setting my expectations at zero point zero.

Minor Details

 

Did some cold weather testing this morning with the tune installed. No issues.

 

I have to ask what kind of mileage you are seeing in the cold weather. I see about 12-13mpg,I have larger tires (265/75/16) and about #300 of additional weight over stock.

 

I've been on 1.03 since 11/11/17 and before we got most of the cold weather around here. I was getting around 20mpg. Once the cold weather hit I dropped to 18-19mpg, but I'm not sure if that is related to winter blend gas or weather. No significant change from stock for me.

 

Saving them pennies for this tune hopefully in March I'll get it

Negative 30 Celsius it equivalent to negative 22 Fahrenheit. I'm sure that some of us have driven the tune that cold, including me. No issues whatsoever.

I’ve run mine at -16 to -20F with no issues

 

I live in one of the coldest part of the country. Auto manufactures actually do cold weather testing close to where I live. Negative 30C was actually a warm morning. We usually will get -40c (-40F) a couple of days in the winter. It was -35 for a couple of days at the beginning of the week.

 

I had to take a drive today and saw 23 mpg at 60mph on hilly terrain (small hills). Temp. got to -20c today. I'm running the 91 octane tune.

 

Can you lock the torque converter in 1, 2, and 3 gears with this tune?
