Meh I guess the specialty off road models don’t appeal to me in the fact I like simplicity in something I’m going to beat the ever living shit out of

Pulled the excavator again today. Put it on the trailer brake screen and didn't show that it was working. Tried to adjust gain, nada. It showed the trailer symbol and in tow mode but fairly certain it wasn't working. When I'd brake, the little gauge wouldn't do anything.

I went with the offroad since it'd be on plenty of dirt roads and I wouldn't be tempted to upgrade the suspension for that.

The Silverado off-road version has a lift, we'll see what i settle on since that might change towing capacity depending on what setup it has.

Looked fine and worked on the Silverado I swapped it from. :notsure:

I'll have to watch it when it's time to tow again.

Oh flux core. Yeah my first time trying flux core was at Brandon’s swingers resort. I didn’t like the stuff. Gas with wire is way better.

Welding is the one thing that I always wanted to learn. Is there a good cheap way to get into it or is it one of those things where a nice welder is easier to learn on?

But a Eastwood 135, go to K&K Surplus and buy some scrap by the pound, buy a decent mask, and start practicing.

@aero3685 forgot to tell you a fun little trick for the Tundra. Press and hold trac control button until all nannies flash off and put it in Tow/Haul mode. Find a straight stretch of road and let er rip tater chip!

    Is that the 110V?

I read somewhere you can buy a few parts online to upgrade it and make it work half decently. I don't know this from first hand; just something I read while researching how to get into welding for cheapskates like me.

    found it:

Most Community colleges have courses too, granted probably will cost more too.

I know Front Range CC has them, maybe Colorado Mtn Colleges do too?
