    Lol!
We had one of the cats bring a live one in the house that got away from him and ran into our room. I gather all the cats and threw them in the room and closed the door. It was the funniest shit hearing them chase that fucker around the room knocking shit over. Took about 15 min then all the commotion stopped.

No rat, but my brother and I had quite a mouse experience when I was in high school.

One night the two of use were home on our own, I don't remember where our mom was, but she was gone until the next day or more. I think we left the front door open at one point and a mouse invited itself in. We spent a good couple hours trying to shepherd it back out the door with no luck, we just lost track of it. Then my brother had the bright idea to get out his blow-dart gun and we started searching through the house to find it again. As we were passing through the dining room we spotted the fucker climbing up the banister for the stairs, making for the second floor. Fuck that. My brother lined up and made a shot which —I shit you not— nailed the piece of shits tail to the banister. It freaks out and falls off only to be hanging there by its tail, bleeding all over the carpeting on the stairs. With it immobilized my brother setup for a second shot to finish it off, and does so easily, but there's even more blood all over. We got rid of all the evidence and went through just about everything possible to clean the blood out of the carpet before our mom got home, so she would never know. Until one day when she noticed a tiny hole in the wood banister and asked about it.

This is a cool trap. However I have been playing with acids the last few days. I would love to try some.

Saw a couple videos of people doing this and it worked so why not. Had all the stuff here anyways. Trying the attic first and under the house tomorrow.

I opened the hood of my truck a few weeks back and it looked like one of them fuckers were tap dancing on the engine cover! A guy I worked with has an FJ that he had to pay like $6k to have the engine and main wire harness replaced. Apparently Toyota uses a soy based wire insulation that is like crack to rodents. Every night I was putting traps all over the engine compartment and got 2. Haven’t seen any foot prints since. Also bought my son a higher powered air rifle and let him go hunting up in the barn. Was pretty cool to see him nail one on the move.

Urinal cakes placed und the engine bay are a great rodent deterrent.

Insulation has been soy based for a long time, think early 2000s - at least that general time frame. All brands use it, and pretty much wholly since 2008.

All of our electronic equipment at my old job used it also and we had problems with mice eating harnesses in that industry too. Also an issue in my current job.. it sucks.

If you remember the “dependent on petroleum” thing where everything was supposed to be greener and more sustainable/less foreign dependency, well.. sure, I guess. In reality it’s just a lot cheaper to use the soy based insulation than the petroleum based. It’s greener in that way, for sure. More moneeeey!

The guy with the FJ read that Cayenne pepper also works so he has been sprinkling it all over his engine bay. So far it works but looks like total shit.

My Godfather has this problem up at his cabin. He, and all the others that leave their jeeps up there, leave the hood up. Seems the rats don't like it when there is light and wont nest there.

Ordinarily I'd go, except I got a thing Saturday evening. And day trips with you are 16 hour festivals, so that math ain't work.
