ok guys, ive spent the last two days searching info on the o2 sensors on my 99 Tacoma 2.7L 5speed 4x4 reg cab.

I am trying to find out if in fact, the two sensors I have are the same part# or if they are different sensors?

Ive read where some of the trucks have the same upstream and downstream sensors and ive also read where the front sensor is an Air/Fuel sensor(or something of that sort) while the rear sensor is an actual o2 sensor.

Could anyone help me out on these? I am trying to find the parts local and the parts stores are no real help as they are reading me the same info im finding online. Please someone help me clarify this.

    Thanks in advance guys....

Looks like model year 2000 with CARB emissions introduced the upstream Air/Fuel sensor.

It's been a long time since I owned my '97, and I do remember changing them, and that they were the same. My '00 with CARB emissions had the new setup. Had to change those too.

If you use Rockauto, remember to use the TW discount found in the vendor section. It will cover the shipping.

thanks for the heads up on the TW discount.
I will probably be trying to find them local, as im going to be installing new header and complete new exhaust.
I originally had a cracked cast iron manifold and decided to replace it all. Just wanted to make sure im finding proper info on the sensors because the truck in currently at home in the garage and im at work unable to physically pull the sensors and check them myself to see if theyre the same. I am trying to avoid buying the wrong part and being unable to return it LOL
