So do you think the trd "desert air intake" will actually function as a water tight snorkel or is it just a gimmick like the hood scoop?

My guess is gimmick. Too much liability in encouraging underwater travel

Oh I know for a fact they wouldn't guarantee it for water but I'm just curious if it actually could unofficially be used in the water.

Any of you interested in some aluminum folding ramps? They're barely used and I believe they're rated at 750 lbs. I'll have to double check that though. 10 ft long.

I want to replace the chrome Toyota emblem on the front with a black one, I'm failing at finding one using search, anyone got any links to a decent replacement?

I dipped mine using the spray can stuff. Been quite some time now and it's been attacked my rock, mud, bugs, trees, etc and it's held up.
3 coats of black PlastiDip. 1 good coat of Glossifier after the black hardened 24 hours.

Or, you can buy the fancy devil horn emblem

No sweat to it. It's easy.

Just do it in a mostly controlled environment. PlastiDip doesn't like temps below ~60°, tends to clump and wrinkle. I also used a fine emery cloth sandpaper to scuff the surface of the 'chrome' for prep. I'd imagine some more elbow grease and a scotchbrite pad would do the same.

I did the same with red. Works great with several small coats. I didn't scuff mine just in case I wanted it back to stock though. Its held up really well for four years.

Looking for some opinions. Worth it to upgrade headlights to retros? Either that I'm going to replace the wiring harness so I can use higher powered bulbs.

Go with LEDs bulbs. I went retros on the Tacoma and LEDs in my other cars. If you don’t care for looks, LEDs are the way to go.

I'm not really trying to blind everyone on the road

I'll probably just swap out the wiring harness. I didn't know much about projectors and wasn't sure if thyt were worth the extra money.

If I get as much back on my tax return as I think I should, my truck will be getting some much needed love. Think I might finally lift it up a bit

I'm new here. Just bought a '15 TRD Sport 2 weeks ago. I live in Strongsville and work in Parma (Cleveland area).

I have an amateur radio license, and already have a partial ham install completed. More to accomplish though. I also work for a two way radio company, managing public safety and corporate radio systems. So if you guys have any questions about ham or CB, or need help with an install, I'm happy to help.

I want to buy a cap, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I was looking at the ARE Z-series. Anyone have experience with A Better Truck Cap and Hitch? Are they a good shop?

Forgot to mention: anyone install the Clazzio leather seat covers? I'm interested, but also dubious how they'll look.
