I'm going to try and force feed this anemic v6 when the parts are available. if that doesn't do it I am strongly considering a V8 swap

Love the new center panel. I cant decide if I want you to sell it or not... I know it would be a way better price than the toyota option but ATM I can do without. I dont have enough LED's to fill it and the left panel yet. :annoyed:

Good news is I have the blank template
and all switch dimensions saved. So it's easy as drag/drop whatever configuration and number of switches desired. Downside is you have to cut the OEM panel out in order to get clearance. YOLO

Well worth cutting out the OEM if the new panel just snapped in. The Tech package replacement is just way too expensive. Toyota really values their plastic...

I think They purposely made it a 1 piece panel to milk more $$$ from the consumer. It would have been more cost effective for Toyota to make 2 smaller switch panels that snapped into the main lower dash and install whichever suits the truck's options. But who am I kidding with this reasonable logic..

I'b just be happy if he made a gas cap holder so I don't have to clip it on the stupid gas door retention clip. That's gonna get stretched out or broken off eventually. I'd pay 10 bucks for one of those in a heartbeat.

As I start my OBA setup I have actually been looking into something like this..
That can be arranged. What are you thinking; a clip that hangs on the inside of the door and allows the cap to snap into it?

Yea, such a common part that likely costs them 37 cents to make and drives me freaking insane they left it off. Just something to hold the gas cap so it's not hanging against the side of the truck.

If memory serves, there is at least one holes at the top of the door and a piece of extra metal welded around the inside for support with room behind it. The holder could be made with tabs on three sides that you would use to twist the holder into place behind that metal and then a single plastic screw would hold it into place at the top. It only needs to hold a gas cap so not like we need it to support any weight. It needs to be shallow enough to allow the door to close yet deep enough to hold the cap there.

    I try:)
I have not installed the gears. I decided to send them off to get REM coated. Wasn't in a hurry to put them in, so figured why not.
