I have the same question, nobody really answered it. I like the JBA arms because they seem really beefy but the backspace is an issue with OR rims. I was looking at the Camburg UCA with the ball joints. oscolivar1 is running a rim with the correct backspace for the JBA UCA so his setup is not a good answer for the question.

Is that not what I said?? The wheels are 16x7.5 with a + 15mm OS so I have more than enough BS. Then said as long as you don't run a negative offset you should be fine....unless I'm being absolutely dumb and misunderstand this conversation?

How is this not a good answer? Isn't the offroad wheel a 16x7 with a +25mm OS meaning that's close to a 5" BS.

    What's the problem here??

You said don't run a neg offset when in reality adding neg offset pushes the wheel and tire away from the control arm and frame. You can get away with a + offset depending on the wheel width. but a 0 or - offset is preferred for any aftermarket wheel wider than the stock wheel.

You should of said don't go too positive of an offset.

Here is a diagram if it helps visualize

I have 255/85r16s on 2016-18 OR wheels on my 14 with camburg UCAs and Fox coilovers 0-3”. The tires rub on the mud flap. I haven’t wheeled it yet so I don’t know if they’ll rub anywhere else.

Okay so you answered his last question about pic. with 4.5 backspace, but his original question about OR rims with have 5.25 backspace (from what I have found) will not work with the JBA UCA.

I think he means you have the corrected backspacing with your rims of 4.5". It is a good answer of using the recommendation from JBA to clear 255 tires.
Do you have a pic from the front? trying to decide if the tires will stick out too far for my taste with the 4.5" BS or if i need to go a different route with my build.

So after all this reading research, am I safe in concluding that my 2015 with no lift can clear 255/85r16 st max mounted on 16x8 Ray-10s? It sounds like I may have to remove the mud flaps though, which is fine.

If I later move to ADS shocks/TC UCAs and newer dakar packs, I am still safe as well?

Thank you! This has been such a time consuming and confusing process. It took me forever to decide on my lift and I thought I was done and now its just begun and I havent even put the lift on yet! Still trying to decide what UCA's to get and then worry about tires after

I would say "no" to your question. 255/85r16 will not fit a 2015 with no lift. I think you are confusing it with 3rd gen Tacomas ( 2016 & newer) as they are able to run 255/85r16 stock with no lift

From what I have read it will work, but I just want to confirm before pulling the trigger that I can run the Cooper Discoverer ST 255/85/16 on stock off road suspension and stock wheels correct? I plan to lift it in the near future, but want to make sure it fits on stock system first.

    Thank you

Just took the plunge and ordered a set of Dick Cepek Extreme Country in 255/85-16. Debating whether to put them on right away or wait until I get all my lift parts and do it all at once.
