I actually plasti dipped it...We'll see how it looks once its daylight tomorrow lol

BUT, I will go with vinyl wrap next regardless. This was an extremely messy process in general. Dip everywhere and the sprayers kept gumming up because of how quickly the dip dries. So had to run Thinner through constantly

Get some day time pics plz. Looks awesome.

Speaking of wraps, there is a guy over here that does wraps on the side. He told me he would do a full wrap on club cab Dodge 1500 would cost about $1500 (depending on the wrap used). I looked at the truck he did and it wasn't great. There were wrinkles around the mirrors in places. There were a few spot where he cut the wrap too short and the OEM paint was showing (around the windows in spots and the door jams). But all in all didnt look bad for $1500. He also use 3M sheets so the product is high quality, he execution was a bit off.

He has since traded his truck in here is a link:

His name is Ryder and his company is called Slipstream Coatings. 509-412-5901
slipstreamcoating@gmail if anyone is interested in talking to him.

I was planning on having him do mine, far cheaper then the 3k i have been quoted other places.

Daytime picture!!! I love it! Has a few touch up spots around trim to finish up, but not overly concerned. Gonna be running the wiring harness for my arb compressor finally, wiring some lights and hopefully finding someone to weld up my pack rack that finally came in! Lol

How have you mounted the spare in the bed. I'm planning on doing the same and have a few ideas.

guys i need some opinions on this: currently i got icons for almost a year now and it does ride a little stiff to my liking, should i change to 600lbs springs or just buy the trd pro kit for $600?

or save up and buy an arb bumper to weigh the icons down?

How much preload are on them? Do you have a heavier spring currently?

I have a big green pelican case pushed up against it too, I was getting after it pretty good at a few points in idaho and it didn't move around at all

Hoping to add a few mounting points on the pack rack in the future to have it more secure anyways

I got the 650lbs spring that came with and only preloaded the driver side for lean.

I'm thinking of fabricating a mount that uses all three rails to hold it vertical in the same spot until other solutions (new rack or bumper) come along.

Depends on your definition of killer. They allow you to feel every bump in the road. You could probably feel a dime under your tire. :bananadead:

Too often people think that by adding a heavier duty spring, and mashing that spring down to get a lift, it's going to ride better than stock.

Even more often you get people that do this, realize it rides like shit, but want to justify their purchase to the internet (for reasons beyond my understanding) and boast about how awesome the ride is when in reality it blows.

@Stanky taco A 650lb spring is probably too stiff for you and not allowing the suspension to do much more than hold up the weight of your truck. If the spring won't let the compression stroke occur, you're going to have a bad time. Put a jack under your LCA and jack up... does the spring compress, or does the front of your truck just lift up?

With my Icons I found that the compression was too stiff, and the 650lb spring was too heavy duty until I added my bumper and winch. I still wasn't happy, so I sold my Stage 1 and went up to the Stage 5 with compression adjustment. Dialed the compression down a bit (usually rode around at 3- just one setting below what they say their off-the-shelf tune is at) and was in love all over again.
