    Hello,

After an exhaustive search for a professional installer, I need to install this device myself.

Unfortunately,I only have basic knowledge mostly a mechanicalIssuesWhen it comes to trucks, ECT.

I need the full idiot (me) step by step guide to doing this. Please note the brake wiring does NOT stop the truck. It is only to receive a signal that the brakes are being applied.

    All assistance is appreciated!

The instruction? To install it. The device - because I want it.

If these features came on a vehicle from the factory, there would be 100s of write ups on how to disable the stupid beepers and vibrators.

You truck is already equipped with an advanced collision avoidance and lane departure warning system: the driver.

Take it to an automotive stereo installer and pay them $200 to do it.

It seems like it would be less of a pain in the ass to put down the cell phone and learn how to drive. If you're that worried about paying attention to the road, take a bus or hire an uber.

OP, you will probably either want to take this on yourself or maybe an AV installer can help you.

Nobody on here has likely done this and will give you smart ass answers because they would all do the opposite and want to deactivate these features.

I see there was already some cleanup done and a member temporary banned. Friday afternoon really seems to bring out the best in the community.

I appreciate all of the thoughtful responses and the for the others it pretty much confirms my assumption about these forums ... it actually lowers your umbrella policy premium(that means money)... it is a fleet vehicle (this means I don't drive it) ... it also has a DVR (this means it records video - this is the oart that saves me money) ... the seat belt doesn't vibrate (this would be an accessory)...

So, you actually want a nanny for your employees. You should have maybe started with that in the 1st post. Would have gained you much more respect.

See the part about saving a couple thousands dollars every six months. I do not want to nanny or do I have the time. It is a business decision. I am not sure why I need to give a supportive background to solicit an answer or help and why I need to first gain forum respect to get either.

Again, I appreciate the educated responses.

In my experience with aftermarket alarms and accessories like sonar and back up sensors is they never seem to work properly, which in aftermarket terms means they are working perfectly. You can't compete with an oem lane departure alert system.

The instructions state that it must be installed by a professional installation shop. The manufacturer should be able to point you in the direction of an approved installer.

Maybe if you shared your location we could help you out. Within 25 miles of my place there are many approved installers such as 4WheelParts, Summit Auto and several truck accessories shops.
