Would like a 2” lift max, so I won’t have to change UCA.
I was looking at full OME Kit (888 & Heavy Leaf) but am interested in maybe doing 6112/5160 with Heavy Dakar leaf springs in back.

If I went with the 5160 & Dakar Heavy Leafs in back what Coil would I use in front with the 6112?

    Here are my needs:

    1. Best driving characteristics with a suspension that meets all my needs. I do tons of city & parking garage driving.
    2. 4-5 times a year I’m fill my DCLB, 4x4 Sport with animal feed or firewood and tow a 5x12 trailer heavily loaded with same. The trailer (loaded out) is 3,500 pounds and really Tongue heavy.
    3. Will install Firestone air bags with spacer for life & thicker leaf springs.
    4. Also will add a heavy bumper and winch at some point so need height adjustment flexibility up front.

i drove for about 8,000 miles on the new coils and stock uca's. It's manageable and a lot of guys will say you don't need them. For me , with the new uca's the truck tracks straighter and i think they allow the suspension to work better , bumps etc. Just my opinion

Second gen kits provide more lift on the 3rd gens for the 6112/5160 combo. You can still use them for sure. The valving has changed on the third gens but it's barely noticeable.

I would not suggest getting 2nd gen 6112... people who have been using them to gain more lift are reporting problems.

    But it's your choice.

Reason I ask is because I’m really close to getting the 2nd gen setup for my 2017.

Look in the specific 6112 thread in this subforum...you can use them but don't max them out just for the sake of having a lil more lift.

Be aware no warrenty will be available for you.

If you want more lift get 5100s...you want performance get 6112.

Can't have both unless you spend the extra coin.
