So today on my 2nd gen Tacoma I did nothing except fixate on what I think is a drive line vibration. About two weeks ago I installed an OME 3" lift, LR UCAs, and a carrier bearing drop kit. Also upgraded to a used set of 285/70/17s. Any ideas of what it could be? Some key notes that may rule a few things out.

    • I didn't notice the vibration before the tire upgrade, but that could be because of time also. Anyway short of swapping tires to know if that's it?
    • I have checked all components torque value at least three times.
    • It seems to go away with up travel on a bump in the road, but comes right back.
    • I only feel it in the pedal and nowhere else.
    • I have already installed the ECGS needle bearing. The vibration feeling didn't start until after the lift /tires.

Not exactly perfect for this thread, but it does relate to my Taco since it got me to the airport and then sat in the garage all week.
I went to Manchester NH for a job and promptly ran into a blizzard. Good thing my rental was a bad-ass Toyota.
So what did I do to my 2nd gen, well I traded it on this for a week.

I think the only issue you might have is if the 6 gauge lugs will physically fit over the 4 gauge wire or not... If they fit, I don’t see any issue.

I had a similar issue. It turned out the be the needle bearing. Here is a thread that might help.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...differential-bearing-vibration-thread.152173/
If that is what it is there is a TSB on it so mine was fixed for free by the dealership, I have not had the problem since. (bout 15k miles since the change.)

Yea they fit they’re not super tight on the wiring but they don’t leave much room around it, it’s snug. I don’t have to force them on or off.
