The challenge is clearing the windows and the frame beneath the aluminum. I believe there's 1/8" of space between the two metal pieces, so whatever window you install will have to fit in that incredibly narrow space. Alternatively, the window would need to be sized and spaced so as to fit in the "main" triangular area between the frame.

It's doable, but will take some work and planning.

@wileydavis Is the rear glass window going to be included in the base price for the aluminum panel option or will it be extra? Referencing this image found on your Instagram account

Ha, I have in mind to use the GFC as a "modular camper" more than just a shell with a RTT on it... having a portapotty will be needed. At my old age of 41, I find that I often have to pee in the middle of the night. Being able to hop down and do my business without having to go outside is something I'll be working into the scheme!

Front/rear windows are not included in the base price. Price is going to be $200/window, so you can order just the front window, just the rear, or both. Keep in mind that the interior will stay a lot cooler without any windows at all (even with black panels). Front and rear windows will also add about 15 lbs to the overall weight. Shapes may change slightly but will generally look like this:

@DoorDing - That's what I do. The old Nalgene porta-potty. If you get good enough you don't even have to get out of your sleeping bag. No need to waste all that heat on those really cold nights :)

Correct. The base price includes opening aluminum lower panels (both sides and rear open).

What will the visibility be like with both front and rear windows installed? Would it be easy enough to look through them to help with backing up/checking whats behind you while driving? That would be my main reason to get windows, so if the visibility isn’t going to be that great, is it even worth it?

Also Curious to see how the back window will look. I like the idea of having the glass break up some of the metal and Add a different texture. Any way the rear window will still reach down all the way to the bottom like in the original renderings? I like how clean that looks. Thanks!

Visibility will be pretty good. Even though the windows are inset, they're not tiny. They'll allow you to use your rear view mirror. The rear windows will look like the windows in the cad model I attached. We looked into full glass rear panels but weren't happy with the weight and a few other compromises that would have had to be made.

Thanks for letting me know! So will it be 15 pounds extra for each window or 15 pounds total with the front and rear installed?

Not yet. But it will be a bolt-on accessory so you won't have to decide right away :)

Random Q: for the long bed version of the GFC does the length of the sleeping space increase or is it just the frame/base that is longer and the top portion stays a consistent length across all models?

The upper portion is the same for all small/midsize trucks (50' x 90") and only the lower portion changes. The longbed is the version we have pictured.

I'm going black, and probably going to get it wrapped to color match. I think if I were to resell it, it would be a lot harder to move a tan color shell over a black on.

Looking into installing a Propex Heat Source heater. Anyone have experience with this? Considerations: 1)Where to mount propane tank 2) Where to mount heater 3) Plumbing

Thoughts: 1) Mount propane tank on Four Runner Rack atop GFC (Concern: How much weight can struts support during deployment on GFC) 2) If mount propane tank on top then have to allow for supply hose length during deployment and what to do with extra during closed and travel 3) Venting of Propex heater- How to accomplish this without drilling through bed

@wileydavis I have not seen this. Can you provide details? Also will the side windows unzip completely for a clear unobstructed view? Lastly- The aluminum side panels will those remain open without having to physically holding them open while accessing?
