I got almost the same truck in N.C. with the platinum protection and the clear wrap. Plus they sold the stupid iPod wire kit, and dealer fee here in NC is $900. So my sticker was $38,910. I paid $32,373. I did a one pay lease, in about three years the truck should be worth more than what I owe.

Anyone else having trouble with dealers acting like Cement Tacoma Off Roads are like a unicorn that can't be discounted? I found a TRD OR Cement with Tech & Premium which I want and they said no discount. Now I found one with just Tech and they're being a bit stingy it seems - waiting on a price back currently. I know a color doesnt change the price of a vehicle and what they can offer but since Cement is rare they're holding back a lot.

You’re so right. I saw a cement TRD Sport which I wanted when I got my SR5. Not only did they not budge on the price, they added all these BS after market things to it and marked it up to high heaven. I think sticker after all the crap was $48k.

I'm looking at a new, 2017 TRD Sport EC 4WD AT with Tow Package and All Weather Floor Liners/Door Sill as the only options. The MSRP is listed as $36,098. That includes the options at $878, and the Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee as $995. There is currently a Toyota $500 rebate, and that with the dealer discount, the price before TTL is listed as $34,470. I have no idea what kind of markup there is in these trucks. How high does their discounted price sound? I'm not looking for an OTD price since I can figure up what the TTL is. I'm just wanting to know what y'all think a fair price for this truck is before TTL. Thanks very much for your input!

    in progress...
spend some time here to get an idea of what the invoice is on the truck: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-tacoma-model-package-option-costs-master-list.388345/ what deal you can get will vary WILDLY based on your market. Some people say they can't get more than 500 off MSRP. some say they get it for well under invoice. YMMV... re-read through the pages on this thread to gauge who might be near you and purchased a similar truck...

at the end of the day, just shop multiple dealers in your area (if possible) and go with what you can afford. if you have a costco membership, there are good results from using that program in many states. good luck!!

I have found that TrueCar is pretty accurate in my area. I usually use that when negotiating. It is also good to see what other people have paid in your area.

Sorry, but nobody knows where you live and would be unable to estimate your TTL for an OTD price.
