Dude I remember they used to make 97+ F150 fenders that were so wide and flat, at least 18”. They were like picnic tables haha.

What are you using to support the bottoms of the bedsides next to the wheel wells?

Ive thought about putting some rubber liner on them. I’m always setting tools, beer, you name it on them. The do make good tables.

    I used these:
    https://www.mcneilracinginc.com/products/billet-aluminum-fender-washers

And some flat aluminum from the hardware store. Bolted the aluminum strap to the factory mount then those washer things to the bedsides. Works pretty well. They were super floppy without them. I could see them flapping on the freeway.

I think one of mine didn’t line up. But my truck front end damage when it was stolen so I didn’t think much of it.

Using these little spring clamps help me out a lot. After everything was fitting nice I took one off at a time, drilled and bolted. A heat gun will make the resin much softer and not crack when tightening along the top edge. The cold will make it more difficult to work with.IMG_2613.jpg

I also took that small formed piece of sheet metal off with the fixed screws below the head light and drilled those holes last.

TA-DAAA! Took all of the panels out of the box and gave them a quick look. I didn't see any damage, so I'm happy. The box looked like it got hit wih a forklift fork and someone punched it.

I tried putting on my front driver side and gave up after a few hours because it was getting dark and colder. Wish I could just slap it on and be done with it, but I guess this makes it more of my truck!

What bolt do you guys find it’s easiest to start at? Very bottom and closest to the door, making you’re way up and towards the headlight?

Did you read @MojaveMadman's write up? https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...rglass-group-buy.511408/page-27#post-16454924

He said he started with the top bolt in the door jam.

A few quick question for all of you that lined the inside of your fenders.

    1) What did you use? I'm looking around and there are a lot of options for paint/roll on bedliner; I'm just curious what others have used.
    2) Do you line the entire thing or do you leave the edges that bolt down clean?
    3) Do you fit first or line first?

    Thanks

Fit first so you can sand and in the event you have to add some glass for fitment it's a clean surface. They'll also be lighter to work with.

So I'm finally getting around to installing these this weekend. For those that did bedsides, what if you do to your filler neck to get it to reach out all the way? Mine isn't even close to sticking out enough to fit into the door? Also looks like I'm gonna have to do some work on modifying the bumper so things line up. IMG_1879.jpgIMG_1883.jpg

I have a set of these at ADV I need to go pick up next week... I would do an extension. Take the filler tube off a cut it in half. Then go to the parts store and get some rubber house and clamps that fit it. Pretty common for the old school body lifts of yester year, still required for some glass. And ya get that bumper “adjusted” to line up, you will appreciate the finished product.
