I did this recently but instead of using a cream based "sealer" or spray paint, I immediately put lamin-x clear film over the headlights. We will see how well they work but they claim to block UV and prevent hazing

I'm lazy....got them polished up just once and from then on I just use Meguiers whenever I have 5 minutes to spare. Never got cloudy again and the $7 bottle lasts for a really long time.

Tried cheapo rouete with toothpaste and it worked quite well. PLASTX by MAGUIRE's is better though... then keep waxon them.

Great job! The key is the UV sealer! Most people do not realize that when you polish your headlights you are removing the UV coating and it must be replaced to have long term results.

I really have to do this to my truck, thanks for the thread! My wheeler spends 95% of it's time in the garage these days, so this should last me a long time.

I tried a few different kits on my last second gen over the 5 years I had it. All lasted around 3-6 months. On my current truck I used a kit from gliptone that was ridiculously easy and they came out awesome. No sanding and very little elbow grease. And yes a UV protectant. Well it's been about 8 months and they look like hell. Ordered a replacement set of CAPA lights just like I eventually did for my 05.
