Yep! The old man had it as a farm truck and wanted it gone. The best deals are never posted, from my experience. It needs worth but I crunk it in gear and drove it about 2 miles by rev matching gears, I think that's what it is called. I isolated a miss to cylinder 5 and 6. I checked coil packs, changed plugs and wires, now I guess I'm going to see if it's a vacuum line. I'm far from a mechanic so the internet has been my mentor haha.

Originally he quoted $160 but the Tacoma driveshaft is narrow at the flanges and transitions into a larger tube after a couple inches. He basically cut the whole front portion of the rear driveshaft off and welded on a brand new tube that's one single diameter.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Coilovers that use those square hole cutout rings are the bane of my existence. Something always breaks be it the wrench or the coilover.

You know, these type of rings... I actually like that ours are so beefy on the trucks but I wish they just used a huge nut instead so I could use a normal wrench on them.

Yep. I'm still finding flakes of plastic in my yard between my front door and the curb.

My favorite part of the story is when you were drilling into the core in front of the coolant overflow reservoir I said, "here put this piece of flat stock behind the core so you don't drill a hole in the coolant overflow reservoir."

    You replied, "great idea."

Flash forward about 45 mins, I'm en route to the hardware store to get more springs and I think to myself, "Monte will surely remember to put the piece of flat stock in front of the washer fluid reservoir. No worries."

Upon arrival back in the garage I was met with, "Good news... I got the passenger side drilled for the mounts. Bad news.... you have a hole in your washer fluid reservoir."
