I was the same way with my 285/70. There is no reason for them to be on right now. Just wasting gas, aint no offroading going on. But i had to get them on regardless haha.

Maybe soon ill find a set of winter rims...

What does age have to do with it?

... and what do you need that thing for? You already have a white one... but it does have nice wheels. ;)

A boat is one of those things that you really need to take care off & I am impatient right now haha :)
With that thing ^ I can do some deep diving in the mud and climb rocks without worrying "will I get home tonight or am I doing repairs on the trails?" :mudding:
Watching those things doing crazy things at King of the Hammers made me think about getting one someday or find a friend who has one :D

You don't need to take care of it, if you take care of it. ;)

You're not old... an IROC is from the 80's... I was over 30 in the 80's... :anonymous:

Cant say. I haven't been up there since the last snow run but if its anything like here in town Im sure its going to be pretty sweet up there.

I dont know if Ill be able to do one for a while since I have the 35's on now, and I really don't want to drive highway until I get a re-gear....See how she goes.

Interesting. I would've thought highway cruising is the least affected by 35s. 35/31x0.72 = 0.81, so 4th gear with 35s with the 5-speed auto gives about the same engine rpms as 6th gear on 31s with the 6-speed manual. Acceleration to cruising speed will suck though.

right now I dont really have a 5th gear. At 80km/h I'm reving at 1200rpm. Any hill or change in the road will cause a constant drop to 4th gear or riding the torque converter. Not ideal. It is doable but, its constant checking the tranny temp and what not.

^That's what I'm saying, you'll be fine driving in "4" continuously on the highway. Lol 4-speed auto like 1st gens.

Problem is it goes into the torque converter as we don’t have a lockout. So the tranny temps climb as the truck wants to go into 5th. For 35’s a regear is a must...

The struggle continues, need different lug nuts to fit the rims. How many threads are supposed to be coming through for the lug to grab? Does not seem like many come through on these, hard to tell with out the correct nuts that fit.

    :annoyed:
