A senior drivers’ safety class can lower it a lot with the right insurance company.

Hey man, glad you are ok! I’ve personally been through exactly the same thing recently, rear ended on the highway. These trucks are really great at so many things, keeping us safe in them being a REALLY important one.

If they total it, you will do fine on valuation. As you know, they hold their value like no other!

I hope it turns out that it is totaled... if not I would have major concerns.

To the OP, not sure about your Insurance, but here in Canada, you can hold out for a better 1st claim, if you want more money!

Those are fatal incidents. Not total incidents. Besides, the rate is clearly the highest rate behind the youngest groups. It also clearly ticks up from the 60's to the 70's and then there is no additional category beyond 70's. A more accurate representation would be to calculate the rate for those above 80 where your reflexes and mind significantly slow down.

Dude. Fatalities are tracked because that is the expensive wreck. The two youngest groups apparently suck at driving and paying attention. The old folks are 3rd. Just admit you were wrong lol.

How I was I wrong? I said that the oldest drivers are the 2nd leading cause of accidents behind the youngest. The link you posted proved that point. They had the highest rate of fatalities behind the youngest groups. Stop trolling and actually read into the issue and educate yourself a bit.

Haha I posted my proof. You are still just talking.
I will tell you one more fact... old people don't get the price breaks you think they do. Sure, I'm 55 and my insurance is cheap, but my son's insurance I'm still paying for is not. I fully expect my insurance to rise as I move into my 60's.
What's really funny? That people in their 50's can out drive the kids lol.

The proof you posted only proved MY point. It also had nothing to do with insurance pricing either. So again, what are you trying to say? Because nothing you have said or posted is counter to my point.

Why couldn't you get get your speakers back?

If my truck got totaled, especially by someone else, I wouldn't particularly care if I couldn't take my Pioneer speakers at this point because they're almost five years old.

However, there's no way in hell they're getting my $125 backup camera setup, or the $325 Pioneer touch-screen head unit that I'm about to put in.

When my friend's little sister got her license back in like 2014, her first vehicle was a 2004 Mazda Tribute. Her parents paid well over $400 (not including install costs) for a complete Pioneer stereo system (head unit and speakers). Less than a year after getting the Tribue, she rear-ended somebody and totaled it!

Her replacement vehicle was a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo, with the factory stereo and no iPod connectivity...

When I asked why they hadn't put the stereo from the Mazda in the Isuzu, they said the insurance company wouldn't let them take it!

I honestly say "fuck the insurance company" in a scenario like that. If my truck got totaled, I'd be sure to take all the valuable stuff off before the adjuster saw it. I've still got my factory wheels and tires and the factory radio that can go with the truck!
