All good I muscled it, almost got to the end and it looked cross thread. Unscrew it and held it straight all the way and it screw in like normal without any resistance. Go figure lol.

Curious if anyone who has the problem of their yakima/thule rails bowing up from the mounting feet has had problems with water leakage into the cap? I’ll post photos from tomorrow what mine look like.

Ya it’s pulling the mounting rail away from the cap. I suppose I’ll have to take it apart and try using some washers on the upper bolts of the mounting feet.

That is good to hear. I found a buddy that's willing to help tomorrow with putting in the washers so I'll just get it done for peace of mind.

Not having done the install... it looks like I'll need some kind of star key to get the side rails off?

I don't have that plate shown here that sits between the rails and the bottom of the feet. Anyone that's purchased a rack recently know if it should have been included? I also had tons of extra hardware including parts for the wind deflector so it appears maybe they sent parts for the cabrac accidently.

For now I took the rack off cause it's pretty sketchy.

Hey guys, I'm considering biting the bullet and buying the Cabrack for my Tacoma. My main purpose for this rack will be hauling boats and lumber. I'm wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of weight they've had on their rack with no issue? I was originally going to do a Thule load tower system but got scared away when I saw many folks getting huge dents because of the feet. Eventually, I'm planning on hauling a 16' canoe and two 12' kayaks on the cab so I'd like to be able to support 200-300 lbs with relative ease. Speeds wouldn't really be greater than 70mph. The same goes for lumber. I'm a woodworker/boatbuilder Thanks in advance.

I just picked up an access cab Prinsu Rack for a killer deal of $400 considering he's shipping it to me! Super excited to join the family and to have means of transporting my new kayak around!

I'm torn- I do have a bunch of red accents so red boards would be sweet, but black would be less conspicuous. Only thing is I feel like a red or orange board would be harder to lose in snow/mud/creeks/etc... what you think?

I went with Orange. I HATE the color orange (and yellow), but in the interest of not losing the boards, hi-visibility won.

Did your mounting feet have a second plate to rest against the tracks and the actual feet, like this?
