A box of Hella bulbs showed up today. I'll try and get a comparison shot if I can in the next couple days. I don't have a lux meter to get actual light readings, but I'll try it against a wall to show if the very high/low lifelifespan bulbs are interesting to anyone else.

I've got the gear and am just across the lake. But pictures never hurt.

If you want to get a reading off them I'd be happy to.

Always down for meeting local TW members and doing truck things over a beer. If you’d like to, PM me and we can setup a time.

I don't have one of those, and tonight's test probably postponed until tomorrow as my Den of 8 Webelos are crossing over to be Boy Scouts tonight :D

There first event after they crossover is a Lock in at 11:00 P.M. at the local arcade/laser tag place. Free games all night, food and snacks all night. Then all you can eat donuts in the morning.

@crashnburn80 brother thanks so much for the lux meter man, really appreciate it. Now to learn how to use it and do one ZXE and one Philips X-Treme at the same time.

Ok, I just ditched my retrofits. I'll see what all this OSRAM fuss is about.

It's about more and better light for you without blinding others :D. I'm very happy I did this. Why did you switch from your retros? I thought that they were supposed to be a great upgrade I just never wanted to spend several hundred bucks on a quality set.

Even quality HIDs can be finicky. Bulbs aren’t always the problem, ballast issues seem to be more common.

I put the new Hella bright bulbs in last night. I forgot how much I hate those fucking springs and washer fluid tank. I will say they are noticeably brighter, I'd like to measure them. As soon as I get some free time I'll shoot you a message. I'd like to ask you a few questions about your supercharger as well.

I had a lot of issues with my retros. Couldnt set them to aim correctly, flikering, vibration. ... I paid a lot for them but I think they were just poorly done. I just want to go back to OEM quality stuff. My ultimate goal is just to get more light on the road than what the stock bulbs can deliver. I hate driving at night because of them.
