I would have to say Cherokee b/c of the solid front axle and 4.0 I6. If you ran into a 85 or old taco 4x4 I would go with it instead but they are getting rare. I just wheel my old truck instead of selling it.

just because it has a solid axle doesn't mean its got the strength of a 2 1/2 ton rockwell. IIRC the front axles (Dana 30??) sucked on anything besides stock tires and light duty/uses

Why do Jeep wheelers seem to hate on Taco's so much?? Why can't we all just get along?

There are just as many toyota owners who hate jeeps as there are jeep owners who hate toyotas.

In my personal oppinion, they're all a bunch of morons!

Incorrect. The dana 35 has the problem, and it's the rear axle on the GC, which most people that wheel it, upgrade it. I run 33's on a GC with a 3 inch lift, I have never had a problem out of my stock axles and differentials on the trails. In the end it depends on how you treat the car.

Holyyyyy shaaattttt!!!! that thing is bad az*****. A toyotat with a nice small block or big block and open exhaust. Check out when the front right tire falls in a hole and the driver gets on the throttle and the truck eases out with no problem. That truck is awesome.

I say a cherokee because, down here in florida at least, you can find an abundance of wrecked ones at the junk yard for parts or you can find a land rover from the junk yard and use the parts from it for replacement parts, you gotta go with what you can find cheap parts for replacment

A real Jeep will never have the embarrassment of asking anyone for a jump start.
