Who's up for a Mills Canyon camp out with some light wheeling in the later park of February? Maybe the last weekend of February 23-25

Thanks, Greg. When I look at them sometimes, I can't believe they're mine. It seems like I blinked a few times and my oldest went from a toddler to a little girl... they grow so fast.

If you throw out some dates we can all check our calendars.

I'm thinking the last weekend of February. It mainly depends on the over night low temps.

Well, that's still a long way out, but if things keep going at the current rate we could be seeing daytime temps in the upper 60s low 70s by then.

Just to stoke the fire in this thread, I'll share a few pictures from last Friday. It wasn't really a vehicle based adventure, but we did take my dads Tacoma.

Good eye, it is Panda-Leer. I'm a lifelong resident of NM and I had never been, except for one hike into upper crossing over a decade ago.

EDIT... PS, @Ariyan , I just checked out your build thread and WHOA your truck has come a long way since that day we spent up in the Jemez a few years ago. Nice work, man.

Thanks, I was blessed to see the subjects with my own eyes.

You should consider taking a day off for the next trail run... you can buy stuff more stuff for your rig anytime, but those days off are your only chance to use it.

On Water Canyon Road up to South Baldy in the Magdalena range. Several of the pics were taken on spur roads. All of it is south of Hwy 60 west of Socorro. The box canyon is the Socorro Box right outside of town... it's popular with rock climbers and photographs well. "Birdtropolis" is, of course, Bosque del Apache.

No problem. I was amazed at the amount of signage on that road. Many points on the road were named (various curves, etc) and there were elevation markers every 1000 feet. There were also info signs about the observatory.
