What can I use?

Im sanding my truck to spray bedliner all over the truck. The previous owner painted it with a roller, yes a roller, white and I'm trying to remove the factory stickers on the sides and tail gate. What can I use?

 

Try a 3m eraser wheel. I believe you can get them on Amazon. Or sand the piss out of it.

 

Do you think they'll have the 3m wheel thingy for a 5" palm palm sander?

I *think* the thing he's talking about goes on a drill. And if it's the thing, it works really well.

 

A quick interweb search shows the eraser wheel used in a drill. A YouTube video made it seem pretty slick. The other thing that comes to mind is a 3m bristle wheel, but that requires a grinder.

 

Heat gun and plastic razor blades.

 

Plastic razor blades? They make those? Freakin' awesome. Where do I get them?

 

Another vote here for the 3M stripe off wheel. Ive used it to remove stickers on mine and it works great. Like others have mentioned, put it in the drill and go to town on it

 

Not at my local Lowes, I looked last weekend. I was removing adhesive wheel weights. But yes plastic razor blades, heat gun, and a solvent like acetone or goof off. Just be careful with the heat and the solvent...

I’m gonna have to check out my auto paint shop, wheel weights do a number on a plastic scraper with a quickness.

 

to remove stickers, you heat them with a hairdryer, which will soften the glue, then slide a knife or something similar underneath, peeling them off.
They will be super easy to remove that way

to remove the glue residues, gas or brake cleaner works well.
Watch out if using gas on plastic surfaces, though, as it can leave the plastic a bit faded
