Incorporating doesn’t always protect the owner. My wife does corporate law.

It's not like Nate owns anything anyway. He has two vehicles and that's about it. Unless he stocked the money away into investments but I doubt that very much.

Honestly, I am both disgusted and ashamed that I ever did business with that guy. Fortunately for me, my one customer that I ordered sliders for did get them, but they were months late.

Everyone make sure to take screenshots of your e transfer confirmations and any correspondence, and upload them to that RCMP Fraud Center link.

Does anyone know what Nate does for a living? Besides living off of us customers.

When I met up with him last summer he was ripping out a bathroom. Labourer for a contractor. Before that I understood he worked at action van and truck.

    Yea that’s the guy.

Filing bankruptcy whether personal or under incorporation does not absolve oneself of fraud charges and it is obvious by the comments in this thread that Federal fraud has been committed no matter how good his intentions were.

Nathan is listed as a co-owner and operator. Does anyone know who the other co-owner(s) may be?

I just want to see him in jail and be Bubbas little bitch.

But I have a feeling nothing will happen

For those owed money I believe there is also a fraud recovery thing. I remember reading on it years ago. Wanted to buy something and had a feeling it might be fraud, looked into it to see if I would be able to get money back and there was something you could do.
Never ended up needing to since it was a scam and the guy fucked off before I got a chance to send any money.

It was only to a certain amount I believe but still better than nothing

I agree that chances of recovering anything financially is pretty much 0
My lawyer ran a check on that for me before I filled out my paperwork for court. He is the only person registered the the business.

The law when it comes to small claims is very one sided in my view. I have to take time off work to go file papers, time off work to meet with mediator if it comes to that, take time off work for trial, pay fees for numerous forms at every step, take time to drive to wherever the defendant lives to serve, etc... All he did was sit at home and deposit my money into his account. System is flawed in that sense and I think it can be simplified.

My experience is that Nathan initially delivered on a couple of installations, and did reimburse me on a cheaper part. The fact he did the installations well and that he reimbursed me on that cheaper part made me trust him, so I put a larger order in May. That order was never delivered/reimbursed in full since. The only choice I had was to keep on getting parts installed from him to make up for the "deposits". My initial thought was that he was selling products at great prices to people without delivering and then reimbursing them a couple of months later to get basically an interest free loan. Now I believe that he just took the money for his expenses (bought a sequoia and one older 4runner in the past couple of years, which is inconsistent with someone struggling for money) and reimbursed people only when he had no choice to be able to keep on getting deposits.

There has been an agent assigned to this case now since they have been getting a lot of calls at this point.
If we are being realistic, none of us are getting any money. I hope I'm wrong but I really don't see that happening.
In return I hope everyone that was ripped off does call so this bastard can pay for his theft.
