I'm bad about recharging mine. I'll top it off when I think about it, but it sits in the truck for months, works every time.

I've got this one and the next size down for the motorcycles. Been pleasantly surprised by how much cranking power comes in a small package.

I've never heard of a bad one. The ones I have I wanted because they don't take a lot of room and heard good reviews.

I just seen those at Interstate last week. I wondered how well they do.

Thanks! I'm thinking I need one for the bike if I ever plan another trip.

One more question - how "big" of one do I really need? To start the truck or car?

I'm pretty sure my 3 is spec'd for up to V6's and small V8's. I think a better way to answer that would be to figure out the largest amount of cold cranking amps you need and get one close to or a little larger. I don't think you need the 10, but it'll certainly do it. Just don't want to go too small and not have enough.

The 400 amp model worked great on the Electra glide.

I really want to add some jump lugs or maybe an Anderson connector pig-tailed to the right side cover so I won't have to lift the seat to jump it off. I lost the rear seat bolt on my 05 because of that and not geting it tight enough and it rattled out.

The Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) should be labeled on your battery. Most that I've seen these days are around 400 to 600amps for small and mid-sized vehicles. I went with a 1000 amp starter.

I haven't come across one yet that's rated to handle a starter. Only the chargers.
