I have to study up on them some more. I'd heard that gray and red have different ratings. I have some gray at work in my tool box but I think I may need the red. But color is not exclusive to size. I have a couple small gray and I have a couple larger gray. Ultimately I want to use a set to put a jumper plug on the front bumper and I need.to make a set of jump leads so I can move my lift boom from the front to the rear of the bed.

 

Pretty involved but easy to read. None of our local outlets have much of any selection. Guess I'll get some ordered up.

That's a familiar connector if you've ever been a Auto club driver , that's what we had on one end of the 40' long jumper cables

 

I have used Anderson connectors in the electric fork lift industry. Depending on your Amp draw as to the,size plug you get(SB175 smaller of the two or SB350.). The color was used to differentiate different battery sizes (GRAY 24VDC, RED 36VDC, BLUE 48VDC etc.). Unless modified a blue plug can only,be plugged into blue and red into a red etc. They do work well with jumper cables. I always used a cable end crimping tool to crimp the cables in to the contact tips, some preferred soldering the cable in(works good until you get excessive draw on the cable and melts the solder). I use this style crimper and it works well.

I still look at this even this morning.
Wife made an axis butt stew in crockpot last night over some egg noodles. Didn’t take a pic but she did good.

Yup, it's one whole degree out this morning right now.

I'd say there's at least a fair chance of ice here when I get off in 2 hrs.
