what’s up TW! 2017 trd OR 4x4. This is my first new vehicle (almost at least - certified preowned).

Have been following tacoma world for a while but now that i actually have one, seems fitting i signed up.

I want to add subtle mods. Not going to make this an overlander or anything. I like backpacking, surfing, fishing and this was the best rig for me.

Currently looking at adding a 3” lift with 33s. Taking suggestions. So far I’m looking at OME and ICON. Most of my use will be on moderate trails, beaches and the dunes of Glamis.

Will the lift be for looks or functionality? Also, I’m pretty sure you have done your research, a 3” lift, well anything more than a 2” lift will be $$s if you don’t want any problems in the future.

Going for function through and through. I don’t want anything too excessive because it’s still my daily driver.

Anyone run into any warranty issues after suspension mods?

My dealer claims that they'll still vouch the warranty with anything up to 12 or 6 inches can't remember witch as long as it's not some home made hill billy lift, however even though they say it I wouldn't count on it considering how shady dealers have a reputation for being . Also I wouldn't want to depend on their service department considering it takes 2 hours for the complementary oil change that was scheduled for. And jeez it hurts how unproffestional they are. (Folsom Toyota for the boys and gals in Nor Cal)

GL OP and welcome to the forums!

I'm looking at a 3" lift on my Gen 2. I'm under the impression that it's doable for $1000
I'm thinking Bilsteins all the way around, Light Racing UCA, 885 Springs, and AAL, that equals out to 3" up front and 2" in rear for a level PreRunner.
To keep it under a grand I might find some used UCA's and 885's. I've seen TW members selling spring + setups for pretty cheap, but I don't want used shocks. I'm still figuring out how AAL's work and how I can achieve 2" - 2.5" in the rear.
