What's up

 

I actually like it here. Some stuff about it pisses me off, but overall I'd stay. Reality is that the taxes are going to force me out and I'll miss it but ultimately we'll live much better on my pension elsewhere. Elsewhere very likely being NC. Just started looking at houses/properties but it's a big state I'm trying to figure out how to narrow down.

 

I grew up in Sussex County, till the taxes (and a business in PA) drove my parents to move to PA. I was 20 at the time. I miss it.

Funny, my parents just moved to NC. They bought a house in Greeneville. My mom likes that everything is close by, but it doesn't feel like a city. They're near Eastern Carolina University I think.

Huge thanks to @Arcticelf for helping me out, real quality welds, super happy with how everything came out, I did hear it hitting the pinch weld on the way home but it didnt last long lol.
Also thanks @Redmann for the oil filters, lunch, and hanging out.

 

I'll check that area out. The thought is 20-30 private acres of woods, and be within a half hour of supermarket, restaurants and and some shopping. And E/W wise it would be nice to be 4 hours or less to the ocean. Don't know what part of the state to look in to make that reality.

 

At least the rain looks like it stopped for your pictures!!

Mom looked all over. She was thinking Texas, South Carolina, somewhere else in Pa. I tried to push them south to get out of the shitty weather. She settled on Greenville. They also checked out the Raleigh area but said it was far too busy for their liking.

Haha I'm up in Bergen County, Cresskill to be exact. And yes, Taylor ham, Giants/Jets, Rangers/Devils... horrible taxes and NYC traffic.... North jersey is the best

 

The real north jersey is great. You guys are clearly talking about the fake north jersey. I have wild animals and can pee pretty much wherever I want

Good. I ended up getting a reman with a 3 year warranty. He wouldn't rebuild the old one due to all the metal.
