    I read that UCA's aren't a necessity but they definitely help with true alignment and better wheel travel. What size tire are you running? I'm hoping I could fit 285/70's (Approx 33") without rubbing.:fingerscrossed:

    I used to have 285's & a 3" lift. Mine rubbed at full lock. If you went spindles you'd get 4" & would be able to have 285's with no worries of rubbing & since they done mess with the factory geometry you wouldn't need to worry about uca's. You could also get by without new front shocks.

    They rubbed the cab mount which could be easily fixed with a cab mount chop. I didn't bother cause I knew I was going higher. Haha
    They say at 3" you need uca's so when it comes down to money the spindles may be the cheaper option. My set up is both your options. Lol
    If I remember right option 1 with uca's will put you at roughly $700-800 with light racing uca's & that doesn't include the rear.
    Spindles not needing anything else for the front will be just under $500 from Headstrong.

    You're probably right $-wise. I might be able to find some used springs or something. Only thing was I really didn't want to go above 3". Wanna be smart and get the most bang for my buck, but 4" seems to be on the excessive side in my circumstance. No real "offroading". Mostly for show and absorbing bumps on dirt trails and camping trips.

    Yeah I was dumb & did the 3" first then pulled that out to replace it with 5100's & spindles. Wasted money on the first lift, wish I would've done more reasearch & went with what I have now from the beginning. I like my 885's but while they are a better ride than say 5100's set at 2.5 they are still a little stiffer than factory. They will put you around 3" though, well probably more like 3.5 at first until they settle. With 5100's & 885's only you're looking at about $380 for the front from Headstrong.

    So for the spindle option you still need 5100's. You maintain factory springs, no need for UCA's, and most likely cheaper. If you lift the front 4" instead of 3", then for the rear you should probably lift 3-3.5? Can you still use AAL to achieve that? Also, do you need to extend brake lines/ worry about drive line angles or any other funny business with premature wear? If I know I only want 3" and good ride quality the 885's seem more appealing to me.

    If you go with spindles you don't need 5100's, you can run what you have now. They come with front brake lines & to be level you'd only need about 2" in the rear so an aal would be fine. From the factory they are about 2" higher in the rear.
    The 4" kit comes with 2" blocks for the rear. That red truck I posted has the 4" kit. You shouldn't need anything else for the rear other than shocks, I ran 2" blocks with the 3" lift & didnt do new brake lines.

    Hey thanks for all the help man! I'm not sure which option I'll choose yet but they both seem viable. If I know I don't want any more than 3" I could go 885's. But spindles are cheaper and less work overall. I'm gonna have to write all this down and do some pricing.
