    Looks like I am flying solo on this one. An early Saturday or Sunday departure is good for me. My goal is to get back to the Big Falls trail head and hike to and from the falls for some pictures and snacks/drink/rest. Some hikers say its about a 1.5 mile hike.

    A co-worker of mine, attempted the drive and hike last weekend, but was stopped at the last of the creek crossings. He said his 2000 Expedition wasn't high enough to chance the crossing and he feared water coming in his doors. His estimation, from watching a previous vehicle crossing, was that the water was about knee high. Which comes to the bottom of my doors. Seals are brand new though.

    I'm trying to plan a Miller jeep trail/hungry valley run for Saturday the 24th (if it stays open) if any of you guys wanna go. I'll be taking the 166 to 33 and meeting a few guys on lockwood valley road.

    All the trails in Frazier /Lockwood valley area are closed. Entire Mt Pinos Forestry is closed.

    Usually it's closed. So very odd that anything is open. But I called to confirm. So I guess worst case it can turn into a hungry valley only trip. It's semi close by so not a huge deal.
